Kember The Therapy Dog Kember serves as the certified therapy dog for Central MS. She loves to snuggle & make people smile! My previous owner relinquished me to a shelter.

I was adopted through the Puppies for Parole program in April 2023. I showed the shelter workers my sweet personality, so they moved me to the Algoa Correctional Facility in Jefferson City where I received training by 2 inmates. Then my mama and her friend picked me up in April, and I began more obedience training at K9 Training Center in Jackson. I completed my therapy dog certification testing and began working at Central Middle School. I love the students and staff and am so happy to be a Cape Central Tiger!

Kember is recovering from her surgery two weeks ago. She seems to think she’s healed and is not very good at following doctor’s orders.
She received the sweetest note and bag of treats from one of her friends at CMS. 🧡
She also loves stroller rides to get some fresh air!
She can’t wait to get back to work!
