Music Academy Families,

We are accepting registrations for Spring 2026 semester. The deadline for registrations is Friday, January 2nd.
The Music Academy will resume lessons and classes the week of January 12.

To register-go to www.semo.edu/musicacademy/

Scroll halfway down the page until you see the red tab that says, “Enroll Today”
Fill in the stuff and click “submit”! After you submit, you’ll get a “Thank You for submitting your application to the Music Academy”! at the top of the page.
I will begin emailing pay links after the January 2nd deadline. Your teacher will be in touch by January 10 to arrange lessons days and times.

v The Music Academy will administer a Test to determine placement in our Musicianship Classes on Thursday, January 8, at 6:00 in Room 201 in the Seminary Building (old building).

· If you are new to the Academy, or, if you have not taken advantage of Musicianship Classes (and wish to), you’ll want your child to take the test!

· If you attended Musicianship Classes during the Fall semester, you DO NOT need to take the Placement Test.

· If you are kindergarten through 2nd grade, you DO NOT need to take the Placement test-you will automatically go to Level 1, which meets Monday, at 4:00 PM, in River Campus Seminary-Room 201, with Sherrie Troxel.

Private Instructional Fee(s) at the Music Academy include Musicianship Classes. Students (grades 1-12) are actively encouraged to expand their music horizons by taking advantage of this opportunity. Our progressive and comprehensive Class Curriculum reinforces the basic skills needed for music

study including theory, ear training, sight singing, and the exploration of various composers and styles of music.

If you plan to attend this placement test, please respond to this email so we know how many to plan for.

IT’S THAT TIIIIIIME…Burrito-Ville time is heeeere!!

BurritoVille, located at 913 Broadway, is hosting a Give Back to Cape event to benefit the Southeast Missouri Music Academy on Wednesday, September 4, from 5-9 PM.

A portion of all sales (this includes dine in, take out, gift cards and t shirts) will go to the Southeast Missouri Music Academy. Plan on a “NO Cook-Family Night Out” and enjoy some great MOMex Food! 🌯
