SINCE 1967, we have been providing quality career & technical training programs for high school students; job training and special interest courses for adults; and corporate training for area business and industry. This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Phil Berry, our HVAC/R Program Instructor! 🔧💚

Phil is celebrating his 11th year of teaching at Cape CTC, and we’re so grateful for the knowledge, experience, and dedication he brings to our students every day.

From teaching valuable hands-on skills to helping prepare the next generation of HVAC/R professionals, Phil makes a difference for our community, and we’re lucky to have him on our team!

🔥 WORKFORCE WEDNESDAY IS BACK—and our students SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT! 🔥

Yesterday we kicked off our first Workforce Wednesday of the 2026–2027 school year with a FULL HOUSE! 🙌The Show Me Center, Pepsi Mid-America, Mercy Hospital Southeast, FRESH Healthy Cafe Cape Girardeau, and American Handyman of Cape Girardeau all came out to connect with our students—and our students came ready!

🎓💙 Celebrating Our Newest Nursing Graduates! 💚🎓

On July 30, we proudly celebrated 29 Practical Nursing graduates as they officially completed their Cape CTC journey! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

We are SO proud of this incredible group and all the hard work, dedication, compassion, and determination they put into reaching this milestone.

Now, they’re taking the next big step—preparing to take their NCLEX board exams and beginning their nursing careers! 🩺✨

We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way and can’t wait to see where their nursing careers take them. We know they’re going to do great things!

🚀 More than just a class. More than just a program. Cape CTC provides a whole lot of opportunity! 💚

We kicked off the new school year this week, and today we had an Opening Assembly for our morning and afternoon blocks.

We talked about expectations, shared important information, and gave students an overview of the many opportunities available to them beyond their program of study.

Career connections, work-based learning, SkillsUSA/DECA, leadership, student organizations, and so much more—there are plenty of opportunities for our students to get involved & grow!

We’re ready for an incredible year. Let’s get to work! 💚🙌

Back to School, Nursing Style! 🩺📚

Our Practical Nursing instructors had a little fun kicking off the new school year this week! 🎉

Each instructor created their own “Back to School” board featuring their teaching experience, age, fun facts and a few other details about what makes them uniquely them.

Let’s just say…there are A LOT of years of nursing knowledge and teaching experience represented in this picture! 👏🏼💚

Let's check in on our MA Apprentices!

Cape CTC students Delsie P., Melanie N., and Sara S., are participating in the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program in partnership with Saint Francis Healthcare. 💙

Recently, they were presented with Rhodes Convenience Stores gift cards purchased with grant funds--something that will help them continue on their journey in healthcare.

The best part? All three are still employed by Saint Francis Healthcare System while continuing their education and building their careers in healthcare! 👏🏼

We are so proud of each of you and all the hard work you’re putting into your education and your future. Keep up the great work, ladies! 🎓🩺❤️
