When Your Son’s Voice Drops and His Shoes Don’t Fit Anymore… 😳👟

Lately, I’ve been watching my boy change right before my eyes—his voice is deeper, his face is sharper, and somehow his shoes never fit for long.

And in the middle of the mess of hormones, attitude, and growing pains, I heard God speak so clearly:

“I’m growing him—and I’m growing you too.”

This season is beautiful and brutal. It’s letting go of the little boy and learning how to love this almost-man who’s trying to figure out who he is.

It’s teaching without controlling. Guiding without pushing. Praying more than correcting.

God is doing a work in him—but He’s also doing a work in me. Stretching my patience, deepening my trust, expanding my love.

Puberty is wild. But so is grace.

And I believe God is in both.

“Mom, I think you’re getting chubby.”

Thank you, child of mine. May your metabolism remain ever fast and your mirror ever fogged.

Annapurna Circuit: A trek to remember♥️

God is calling me
to a place I never dreamed of,
a path I never would have chosen on my own.

Yet as I follow the stirring in my heart,
I find myself filled —
with joy, with peace, with hope.

It is not God who sows fear and doubt.
It is the enemy who whispers,
“You cannot,”
“You will fail,”
“You are alone.”

But I know the truth:
I can let fear steal what God is offering,
or I can take His hand
and walk forward in obedience.

For too long, I wrestled with my own will,
forcing doors open that were never mine,
chasing dreams not rooted in Him.
And every time —
heartache, confusion, pain.

But there is a sacred difference
between the trials that refine us
and the struggles we choose
through disobedience.

Now, I am learning to let go —
especially of the fear that clutches at my heart,
the fear that asks,
“How will I make this work?”

The answer is clear:
I was never meant to make it work alone.

Every time I surrender,
God is faithful.
Every time I release control,
He writes a better story.

His Word is my light,
His promise my anchor,
His love my guide.

So I will obey.
I will walk through the door He has opened,
even though I do not yet see the full road ahead.

Because He sees.
He knows.
And I trust Him.
