What a great day out watching "Little Shop of Horrors" and eating DHOP pizza in Downtown Fort Myers. Due to transportation issues, we did get extra free time in Centennial Park. Today the students saw all the core subjects integrated into the Fine and Performing Arts performance.

Congratulations to the Symphonic Band for receiving the highest honors possible of Straight Superior ratings at their District Music Performance Assessment this past Friday night at Cypress Lake High School Center for the Arts. These young musicians have spent hours preparing for this prestigious event and the smiles were endless! Go Band!

What an amazing afternoon with a zoom call and rehearsal with the legendary Mr. Larry Clark, composer and clinician. Mr. Clark listened to our performance of his composition "Air and Caprice" and gave us great insight to enhancements in preparation for our Music Performance Assessment on Friday. What a cool day for these kids. Yes, they even had to ask him insightful questions.

Congratulations to Mrs. Cooper and her amazing orchestra. The orchestra attended their District Music Performance Assessment yesterday and simply performed and represented DMS wonderfully. The orchestra programs continue to grow and excel at Diplomat!

What a great night with the Fine and Performing Arts Department. Great Music, Amazing Food, and Outstanding Displays. Thanks for all that made this night special.

The Spirit Band performed in Downtown Fort Myers at the Edison Junior Parade this Saturday. The 85 piece band strutted the streets and entertained the crowd. After the parade, we all ate a ice cream cone at Dairy Queen. Go Band

The Jazz band had an Excellent night at the District Music Assessment with many Excellent and Superior Soloist. What a great night of music making by these amazing Wildcats. I am one proud music educator and you should be proud parents.
