Gift of Play

This process has been a roller coaster.

Some days I feel so close I can almost see the doors opening... and others I wonder how one more thing can possibly be added to the list.

It's been stressful, exhausting and got me questioning myself a LOT. I've cried more than I'd like to admit. But I've also seen God provide in ways I never expected, over and over again.

So I keep coming back to this...

“If the highest place I reach is at Your feet, then I've done it all.“

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about opening a business. It's about being faithful with what God has put in my heart. If I stay faithful, trust His timing, and keep taking the next step, then that's ENOUGH.

The highs are AMAZING. The lows are DEFEATING. But neither one changes who God is. 🙏🏼

So I’ll keep praying. I’ll keep showing up. Trusting that He already knows how this story ends. 🖤

Just here building this playhouse brick by brick learning as I go. Trying to be strategic, above board to avoid issues before they come up.

That means things might not go a quickly as my energy wants but it will be done RIGHT avoiding costly delays and issues in the future! 🙌🏼

This one feels soooo good! I worked hard to make sure it was approved on the first go. After a couple questions/ clarifications with NO changes it’s SIGNED & SEALED!

This is just the FDACS plan review - not the official license yet. They don’t take that application til you’re 21 days away from opening. But this means as long as everything I showed in my plan is done our food establishment license is in the bag! 🥳🤩

Now to get through the city permits and processes without much issues and we are cooking with gas. But not actually cooking because that will take a different license and grease trap 🤪

Sometimes in the midst of it all you need to remember where you came from…..

Years ago, I dreamed of growing my little home daycare into something bigger. At that time life had other plans. Looking back now, I can see God had a plan all along.

Every step, every setback, and every season was preparing me for this moment.

Never underestimate what God can do with a dream that never leaves your heart. 🌈 🖤

Full circle moment and we're just getting started. 😎

250 years ago, our great nation was born.

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom & it has me feeling incredibly grateful.

The freedom to worship.
The freedom to raise our families.
The freedom to dream big.
The freedom to start over.
The freedom to build something that hopefully leaves the world a little better than we found it.

This year, that freedom hits a little differently for me.

I've spent months praying, stepping out in faith, wondering if I was making the right decisions... and over and over again, God has shown up. Not always in the ways I expected, but always exactly when I needed Him.

It reminds me that freedom is a gift but so is faith and they both require courage. 🙌🏼

Today I'm thankful for the men and women who have fought to protect our freedoms. I'm thankful for the opportunities this country has given my family. And most of all, I'm thankful for a God who is still working, still providing, and still calling us to trust Him.

My prayer today is that we would love one another a little more, be a little kinder, and never take our freedoms for granted.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33:12

I've learned that God's timing doesn't always match my timeline but it has NEVER failed me.🥹🥹

Progress doesn't always look exciting on social media. It's meetings, phone calls, spreadsheets, design decisions, and a whole lot of waiting. But behind the scenes, this dream is becoming more real every day.

📑 We've officially moved into SBA closing. 🙏🏼

🛝 I meet with the Cedarworks designer tomorrow to finalize our custom climbing structure.

🏡 We're collaborating on the design of our custom playhouses.

💻 We're narrowing down the software that will power Gift of Play. (This decision is harder than it sounds! 😂)

🔨 And we're working through all the final construction details. Everything from permits to choosing the perfect flooring. 🙌🏼

There have been moments when I've wished things would move faster, but I'm learning that God's preparation is just as important as His promises. Every conversation, every answered prayer, every donation, and every open door reminds me that He's writing this story in His perfect timing.
