A fully functional robotic replica of Disney's WALL-E, used for community and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) outreach.
WALL-E is a fully functional robot used for community and STEM outreach. WALL-E visits local schools and hospitals to help inspire children's imagination, creativity, and to promote learning about science and engineering. WALL-E was built by William Gibson and Julie Smith, two Air Force Research Laboratory scientists with the goal of community outreach focusing on New Mexico's youth. For more info

We are getting ready for Science Night with the Albuquerque Isotopes!WALL-E loves going to the stadium and teaching all the kids about robotics! Plus he’s a HUGE Isotopes fan!!

WALL-E had so much fun today at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Rio Rancho. He got to play with a Van Der Graaf machine, eat lunch with the students and even meet the Mayor of Rio Rancho, Gregg Hull!! I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of the students, but they all loved him, and had so much fun playing with him and learning about how he was built.

Happy birthday to WALL-E!!! He’s 7 years old today and has educated over 5000 kids on robotics and engineering!!! We hope to have many more years of STEM outreach!

Thank you Gulf elementary school for sending me so many thank you cards and a T-shirt for WALL-E. I’m so happy to see so many kids happy to see WALL-E. My heart is full. ❤️❤️❤️

We’re off to cheer on New Mexico students at a robot competition!! WALL-E loves to see all the robots the students create!!

WALL-E had such a good time at STEM Saturday. He met so many new friends including two dogs, a robot, one and a real one! Thanks to everyone who came out!!
