Wall-E ABQ A fully functional robotic replica of Disney's WALL-E, used for community and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) outreach.

WALL-E is a fully functional robot used for community and STEM outreach. WALL-E visits local schools and hospitals to help inspire children's imagination, creativity, and to promote learning about science and engineering. WALL-E was built by William Gibson and Julie Smith, two Air Force Research Laboratory scientists with the goal of community outreach focusing on New Mexico's youth. WALL-E had so much fun today at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Rio Rancho. He got to play with a Van Der Graaf machine, eat lunch with the students and even meet the Mayor of Rio Rancho, Gregg Hull!! I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of the students, but they all loved him, and had so much fun playing with him and learning about how he was built.
