✨Welcome to our newest music teacher, Genestra Kappotis!✨

Genestra has a Bachelors in Music and for the past three years, Genestra has driven the youth department of downtown Naples' theater scene, serving as a dynamic creative force by writing original scripts, organizing musical arrangements, and choreographing vibrant productions.

Such a great day of band classes! We are up to 15 in our advanced band! I’m just beyond grateful and it makes my heart so full.

Jazz band is working on their winter set including Charlie Brown Christmas, Boughs of Latin, and Feliz Navidad.

Advanced band is working hard on rhythm reading sight reading in preparation of our Disney workshop and their winter set includes The Nutcracker Assortment, A Dashing Gallop, and Bell Carol Rock.

And beginning band worked on instrument maintenance today, learning how to take care of it and is playing their first song with their first 5 notes.

I can’t wait to continue to see all their progress! 🎶

We are so excited to be taking our Advanced Band and Jazz band students to the Disney Imagination Campus this semester! 🎬🎺

Throughout the band workshops, students will learn a repertoire of Disney music and hone fundamental skills including intonation, musical balance and tone quality. In addition to sight-reading practice and ensemble-training, they’ll learn how phrasing, dynamics and articulation can add emotion to any piece of music.

Disney music professionals will give music lessons and share insights about the high expectations of being a professional musician and how to succeed in this highly competitive field. 🎶
