CHARACTER TRAIT OF THE MONTH: ACCEPTANCE

At Heritage Charter Academy, we believe that character matters just as much as academics. Each month, we celebrate a special character trait that helps our students grow into compassionate, confident, and responsible leaders.

Our Student of the Month is selected based on students who consistently demonstrate that month’s featured character trait in their words, actions, and interactions with others.

For the month of September, we are celebrating ACCEPTANCE! We are looking for students who embrace differences, include others, show kindness, and understand that everyone has something special to contribute.

And what better way to represent this important message than through art!

Our amazing, talented, and truly incredible Mrs. Turner created this beautiful painting to represent Acceptance and the importance of embracing one another for who we are. Her creativity, passion, and ability to bring meaningful messages to life through art are truly inspiring.

🍦🐊 FAMILY NIGHT IS COMING! 🐊🍦

We’re kicking off our FIRST Family Fundraiser Night of the school year, and we want to see our HCA families there!

Join us at Love Boat Ice Cream on Wednesday, August 19th from 6:00–8:00 PM for a sweet night of family, fun, and supporting our school!

✨ And most importantly, help us raise funds that go directly back to our school and our students!

HERITAGE CHARTER ACADEMY CARLINE REMINDERS-

Safe • Orderly • Efficient

As we begin the school year, we want to make sure all of our families understand our morning drop-off and afternoon pickup procedures. Following these procedures helps us keep students safe and keeps Carline moving as efficiently as possible. Thank you for your patience and partnership! 💚

🌞 MORNING DROP-OFF

7:30 AM – 7:55 AM

🚗 LANE 1 – Morning Care ONLY
• Lane 1 is the lane closest to the building.
• This lane is ONLY for students attending Morning Care.

🚗 LANES 2 & 3 – Regular Drop-Off
• These middle lanes are for regular morning drop-off.
• Please stop at the cones and move forward only when directed by staff.

🚌 LANE 4 – Buses & Transportation ONLY
• Lane 4 is reserved for school buses and transportation vehicles.

How morning drop-off works:
1️⃣ Staff will pull a group of vehicles forward.
2️⃣ Students must remain inside their vehicles until staff gives a 👍 thumbs up indicating that it is safe to exit.
3️⃣ Once that group has unloaded, staff will release the vehicles to exit.
4️⃣ The next group of vehicles will then be pulled forward.

⚠️ Please DO NOT move your vehicle while students are unloading.

🌤️ AFTERNOON PICKUP

2:45 PM – End of Dismissal

🟢 LANE 1 – Kindergarten + Siblings
• Lane 1 is for families picking up Kindergarten students and their siblings.

🔵 LANES 2–4 – All Other Students
• Families may choose their preferred lane.

🚨 LANE 4 – Grades 1–8 + Large Vehicles/Trailers
• Lane 4 is for families with students in Grades 1–8 and all large vehicles or vehicles with trailers.
• Large vehicles and vehicles with trailers MUST use Lane 4 so they can safely exit the Carline.

🚫 ONCE YOU CHOOSE A LANE, DO NOT CHANGE LANES!

Changing lanes disrupts the Carline and can cause significant delays. If you change lanes, your vehicle may be pulled around and you will not receive your student until after Carline ends.

🎫 CAR TAGS ARE REQUIRED

Every vehicle in Carline MUST have this year's Car Tag displayed on the rear-view mirror while in line.

❌ No displayed Car Tag = Delayed Pickup

If you do not have a displayed Car Tag:
• Your vehicle will be pulled around.
• You will need to wait until dismissal ends.
• You will then go to the Front Office to sign out your student.
• Proper identification will be required.

🚨 There are NO exceptions to this policy.
Not having your Car Tag displayed will create additional delays for you and other families.

🚫 PARKING LOT & FRONT OFFICE CLOSED DURING CARLINE

Morning: 7:30 AM – 7:55 AM
Afternoon: 2:45 PM – End of Dismissal

Please DO NOT go to the front of the school during these times. The parking lot and Front Office will be closed, and there will be no one available to assist you.

🚗 You may NOT pull into the parking lot and allow your child to exit the vehicle.

🐊 ALL students must enter and exit through the Carline.

What an INCREDIBLE day at Heritage Charter Academy! 🐊

First and foremost… thank goodness the rain held off! ☀️ Our Croc Around the New Block community event was an absolute success, and our hearts are so full.

Thank you to every family who came out to see our beautiful new campus, enjoy the activities, and celebrate this exciting new chapter with us. Seeing so many smiling faces reminded us why we do what we do.

A huge thank you to our amazing vendors, food trucks, community partners, local businesses, volunteers, and staff who made today possible. Your generosity, support, and commitment to our school and community helped create a memorable day for everyone who attended.

To our incredible Heritage team, you continue to go above and beyond. Your hard work, dedication, and passion are building something truly special for our students and families.

The excitement surrounding Heritage Charter Academy is undeniable, and we can’t wait to welcome our Crocs through the doors of their new school in just a few short weeks!

Thank you, Cape Coral, for embracing our vision and supporting our mission. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.
