It’s time to dig through the couch cushions! 🛋️ Our school Penny Wars fundraiser starts next week, Sept. 22.
Remember the rules: Pennies count as positive points for your student’s class, while silver coins (nickels, dimes, quarters) dropped in other jars subtract points!
All proceeds support our wonderful school.

Penny Wars is back, and we need your help to make this exciting grade-level battle a huge success for the kids!

We need volunteers to help in two main areas:

The War: Help monitor collection jars, assist student and cheer on the students during collection times.

The Count: Help sort, roll, and count the coins safely after collection times wrap up.

🚨 OUR FINAL PTO MYTH — AND THIS ONE IS A BIG ONE!

❌ MYTH:
“The PTO doesn't really need me.”

💙 REALITY:
WE DO! 🧡

Every parent's voice and involvement matters.
Maybe you have an idea we've never thought of.
Maybe you have a skill that could help.
Maybe you can volunteer at an event.
Maybe you can help with fundraising.
Maybe you can simply show up and support the school.

Your contribution doesn't have to look like anyone else's.

The truth is, very few people can do everything — but every helpful hand makes a difference. 🐯

So if you've been sitting on the sidelines thinking, “They probably don't need me…”

PTO MYTH #4 — BUSTED!
Have you ever thought...

❌ MYTH:
“I can't help because I work during school hours.”

💙 REALITY:
There are lots of things that can be done after school hours — or even behind the scenes from home!

Not every volunteer opportunity happens during the school day.

There are ways to help with events, planning, fundraising, organizing, communication and more — and some things can even be done from your couch after the kids go to bed. 😉🏠

We understand that life is busy.

That's why we're always looking for different ways for families and community members to participate.

We hear this one a lot...

❌ MYTH:
“I don't have any time to join the PTO.”

💙 REALITY:
Even a small contribution of your time and ideas can have a HUGE impact!

You don't need hours and hours every week.
Maybe you can help for 30 minutes.
Maybe you can volunteer at one event.
Maybe you can help from home.
Maybe you have an idea that could make something better.
There are lots of ways to help that can fit into different schedules.
And here's the thing...
You don't have to do a lot to make a difference. 🧡

🐯 So don't count yourself out just because your schedule is busy!

🚨 PTO MYTH #2 — BUSTED!
Let’s talk about another common misconception...

❌ MYTH: “PTO is only for stay-at-home parents.”

💙 REALITY: PTO is for EVERYONE!
Working parents. Stay-at-home parents. Grandparents. Family members. Community members.

There are so many different ways to support our school, and they don't all require being available during the school day.

You might have an hour.
You might have an idea.
You might have a special skill.
You might simply be able to share a post or spread the word.
There’s a place for you. 🧡

Our school community is strongest when we all pitch in however we can.

🐯 You don't have to be a “PTO parent.” You just have to be someone who wants to help our Tigers!
