🎉 Happy Friday! 🎉

On this Friday, we are celebrating Ms. Carmen and wishing her the happiest birthday! 🥳💙

This week during PE, Ms. Carmen has been working with our students on the skill of bowling and, as always, finding creative and fun new ways to challenge them while building their skills. 🎳🐾

We are so thankful for Ms. Carmen and everything she does for our students and Thrive Academy. We hope she has had the BEST birthday! 🎂

We wanted to share a few of the fun things happening in our classrooms this week! 💙🐾

Earlier this week, Ms. Brooke and Ms. Stacie’s class worked together to create a paper chain. Each student created their own pieces, and then as a group, they combined them to make one long chain! 🔗 This was a great way to practice teamwork, following directions, and working together toward a common goal.

Their class also got to enjoy different rotations focused on building, creating, and playing alongside their peers. These activities gave students opportunities to work together, practice social skills, and have some fun while learning! ✨

In Mrs. Cook’s class, students celebrated Constitution Week! 🇺🇸 They had the opportunity to look through copies of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights while learning more about these important pieces of our nation’s history.

We love seeing our students learning, collaborating, and enjoying time with their peers!💙

🎳💙 Yesterday at bowling practice, our bowlers were surprised with special bowling shirts for this season!

We are so thankful for our amazing community and the parents who continue to reach out looking for ways to support and celebrate our students. It truly means so much to us!

A huge thank you to Richard Roudybush and BSN SPORTS for providing these awesome jerseys for our bowlers to wear to practice this season. So much thought was put into the design, including recognizing our incredible Unified partners, the Ft. Myers Green Wave Unified, who show up to every practice ready to go, support our students, and help make each practice so special. 💙🎳

Our bowlers were so excited to see their new swag for the season, and we are officially geared up and looking forward to our first competition of the season next week! 🏆🐾

🌟 Saturday Spotlight🌟

This week, we want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible team of teachers and paras at Thrive Academy! 💙🐾

Every day, they create fun, meaningful, and engaging opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and feel successful. So much of the work they do happens behind the scenes and may sometimes go unseen, but it is always appreciated.

When you look through this week’s recap, the excitement, joy, and smiles on our students’ faces say it all. Those moments are made possible because of educators who truly care, build connections, and pour so much love into what they do each day.

We are incredibly thankful for our amazing educators and everything they do for our students! 💙

Thrive Academy would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Greg Callen and Jr Jones Memorial Fund Inc for supporting our basketball team! 🏀💙

Greg worked alongside Mr. David to create these one-of-a-kind jerseys for our students, giving them something special to wear with pride as they represent Thrive Academy while playing in our community. Our students were SO excited to receive them!

We truly cannot thank this amazing foundation enough for choosing to support our students in such a meaningful way. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful people in our community who continue to show up, encourage, and love our students. 💙🐾

We can’t wait to see our Bulldogs representing Thrive in these amazing jerseys!

🔴🟡🔵 Happy Dot Day! 🟢🟣🟠

Ms. Brooke and Ms. Stacie’s class had a fun-filled day celebrating creativity, imagination, and making their mark! Students enjoyed several Dot Day activities, including putting their building skills to the test by creating with colorful candy dots. 🍬✨

From designing and building to thinking outside the box, our students had so much fun seeing what they could create one dot at a time! We love days that bring learning, creativity, and a little extra fun together! 💙🐾

We are incredibly proud and honored to be recognized as a Unified Special Olympics School!
This recognition celebrates our commitment to inclusion , acceptance, friendship, and belonging for every student. Through Unified Sports and the power of teamwork, we are creating a school community where everyone has the opportunity to participate, shine, and be celebrated for who they are.

Today our students in Mrs.Cook’s continued their lesson on comparing and contrasting texts through cooking! 🌶️🍅

Students followed recipes to make pico de gallo with Ms. Stephanie and salsa with Ms. Carmen.
