- Timing Matters: After September 1, emergency loans won't be available again until the Spring semester (January/Spring 2027).

Scholarship Spotlight!

Meet Colby Arrington!

Hailing from Clayton, New Mexico, Colby is planting the seeds for a bright future here at WT! 🌵Colby is majoring in Plant Soil and Environmental Science with a specific emphasis on Horticulture. He has a deep-rooted passion for understanding the fine details of the earth and how we can best steward agriculture to feed and grow the world. 🌎🌱

After graduation, Colby plans to bring his green thumb to the Amarillo area, where he hopes to begin his career working with the talented team at Custom Gardens. 🏡🌷

Colby doesn't just study agriculture; he lives it! He has spent his time on campus representing WT on the Crops Judging Team, traveling to various competitions, and staying active in the Agronomy Club. Beyond the soil labs, Colby is a familiar face at the Wesley at WT. He is heavily involved in their student ministry, participating in weekly Bible studies and worship services to stay grounded in his faith and community. 🙌✨

For Colby, scholarships are the water and sunlight that allow his education to thrive. They provide him the financial freedom to dive deep into the subjects he loves without distraction. By easing the burden of tuition, these awards allow him to remain fully committed to his extracurriculars and his specialized research into plant and soil health. 🔬☀️

Did you know Colby is a world traveler? One of his favorite experiences during his time at WT was a mission trip through the Wesley that took him all the way to Greece and Romania! ✈️ This journey allowed him to serve others while gaining a unique perspective on the world—an experience he carries with him back to the classroom. ☦️

Scholarship Spotlight!

Meet Emily Montgomery!

A Shallowater, Texas native with a heart for service and a passion for the future of agriculture! Emily is currently majoring in Agricultural Education (with a 6-12 teaching certification) and is already making big moves as a student teacher in Abernathy, TX. 🍎

After graduation, she plans to keep her roots in the Panhandle by attending grad school right here at WT before heading into the classroom to inspire the next generation of agri-science students! 🎒

When it comes to the WT experience, Emily says it’s all about the community. "I may be biased, but I think WT has the best people," she shares. She loves how everyone on campus is welcoming, kind, and genuinely wants to see their peers succeed. For Emily, that supportive atmosphere makes all the difference. 🤝

Between serving as the KDP President, being a Herdsman and Ag Ambassador, participating in the Honors Program, and working at the Stanley Schaeffer Ag Education building, Emily stays incredibly busy! Because she is so dedicated to her organizations and her current full-time student teaching role, scholarships are a vital blessing in her life. They allow her to focus on her leadership roles and her students without the constant stress of needing to work extra hours to cover tuition. 📚

It’s no surprise that Emily’s "fun fact" is that she absolutely loves being busy! She believes her involvement in so many different areas will ultimately make her a more well-rounded Ag teacher. When she does find a spare moment, you’ll likely find her outside soaking up the beauty of God’s creation and enjoying the fresh air. 🌿🙏

We are proud to introduce Colby Prince!

Colby is a dedicated Buff making waves in the world of agriculture! Hailing from Roswell, New Mexico, Colby traveled to Canyon to pursue his passion for Animal Science. When asked about his favorite part of the WT experience, Colby points directly to our outstanding Ag Department, where the hands-on learning and tight-knit community make all the difference. 🐂 🌾

For Colby, scholarships represent more than just financial support; they are a vital recognition of hard work. He believes that scholarships provide a unique opportunity to reward individual students based on their academic achievements, fueling the drive to excel both in and out of the classroom. 🎓🙌

Beyond his undergraduate studies, Colby has some big plans on the horizon! We are thrilled to share that he will be continuing his journey toward becoming a veterinarian by attending vet school at Colorado State University. 🏔️🩺

Meet Eden Sun!

Coming to us all the way from Gallup, New Mexico, Eden is a Health Sciences major with a Psychology minor who is dedicated to a life of service! One of Eden’s favorite things about WTAMU is the incredible connections she’s built with her professors. Having mentors who truly care makes all the difference when navigating a challenging degree, and Eden has found that support right here in the Buff family. 🤝✨

For Eden, scholarships represent more than just financial aid—they are a powerful source of motivation. Knowing that others believe in her academic journey gives her the drive to keep pushing forward. These awards have been the key to continuing her education and staying focused on her goal of supporting others in the healthcare industry. 🎓🔥

What’s next for Eden? She is excited to explore several rewarding paths after graduation, including becoming a Health Educator, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or working in Maternal and Child Health. With her heart for helping people and her diverse skillset, we know she will be a blessing to whatever community she serves! 👶🏥

Meet Klaire Hildinger!

Hailing from right here in Canyon, Texas, Klaire is a shining example of the talent we have in our own backyard! As an Early Childhood Education major, Klaire is dedicated to shaping the next generation. Her favorite thing about WTAMU is the incredible campus atmosphere—a place where she feels supported and inspired every single day. 🏫✨
For Klaire, scholarships have been a vital bridge to her future. They have allowed her to focus on her rigorous coursework and professional development with significantly less financial stress. By easing the burden of tuition, these awards have given her the mental space to excel in her studies and prepare for a career of service. 🎓💡

The journey doesn’t stop at graduation! Klaire’s heart for helping others has led her to plan for a Master’s in Counseling, with the ultimate goal of becoming a school counselor. When she isn’t in the classroom, Klaire’s adventurous and compassionate spirit shines through her love for mission trips, where she enjoys serving communities in need. 🌍🙏
