Tonight's home-opener football game will feature the official season debut of WT Spirit's Gameday and Pom squads. Last year, the program finished fifth in its division at the National Cheerleaders Association college nationals.

After a record-breaking 2025, WT's Ag Day celebration is back Sept. 12, raising funds for student recruitment in the Department of Agricultural Sciences. The weekend's festivities also will include a reception in which students will receive more than $1 million in scholarships for the year, and U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson, Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Kevin Buse, and alumni Kody Carson, Wesley Spurlock and Brady Yeary will be recognized.

The Herdsmen, a group of dedicated students who care for our live buffalo mascots, return to action with Thunder XV and the in-training Sally at Thursday's home-opening football game against Western Colorado University.
