Meet the newest members of the WTAMU School of Music faculty!

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Tyler Webster, Assistant Professor of Clarinet, and Dr. Steven Groth, Assistant Professor of Voice, to the West Texas A&M University School of Music!

Dr. Webster and Dr. Groth bring to the School of Music exceptional artistry, teaching experience, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of musicians. We are excited to have them as a part of our music community and look forward to all they will contribute to our students and the School of Music.

What an exciting day for West Texas A&M
University- for the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities, for the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business, for our students and faculty, and for the Texas Panhandle. Today, we announce a generous $3 million gift from the Prairie Thunder Foundation, benefiting two of our outstanding academic colleges: the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities and the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business. To the Prairie Thunder Foundation: Thank you.
Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your confidence in West Texas A&M University. Most importantly, thank you for investing in the future of the Texas Panhandle. Today we renamed the band program to the Prairie Thunder Band Program with the first official performance within the program by the Sound of West Texas Marching Band. We also had the honor of having President Wendler speak at the announcement ceremony which happens to be the last thing he is attending as President of WTAMU. We can't wait for the future of the School of Music, we have so many things in store for the future!!
