Alderete Middle School

Alderete Middle School Jose J. Alderete Middle School (AMS) is a middle school in the Canutillo Independent School District.

AMS boasts a top-notch academic record, and its athletic and music programs have quickly gained recognition, being considered among the best in the region. AMS also offers students the opportunity to receive high school credit (credit by exam), and college credit (AP exam) in Spanish by taking an advanced college- level course.

Ms. Patino brings a wealth of experience in education and instructional leadership, along with a strong commitment to supporting students, teachers, and families.

We announced again today that anyone interested in trying out for Boys Soccer needed to sign up with Coach Vega in Room S105.

⚽ Boys Soccer Tryouts will be open tomorrow morning to students who bring a COMPLETED physical form.

Attention, Canutillo ISD parents!

A semi-truck traveling on South Desert Boulevard is currently stuck and blocking traffic near Tractor Supply. Work crews are on site assisting with the removal of the truck, but traffic near Canutillo High School and Northwest Early College High School may be impacted during pickup time.

Additionally, Elementary School and Middle School bus routes that use this thoroughfare may also be affected.

The situation is outside of our control. Our Police Department and Transportation Department are working to help clear the area and facilitate traffic flow.

Please be patient as crews work at the site and our Transportation Department identifies alternate routes. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
