🧡🐍🐢 Investing in Our Teachers! 🦎📚

Canutillo ISD (CISD) dedicated a special day to investing in the social and emotional well-being of our amazing educators through engaging Social Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions! 🧡

Our very own Alderete Middle School Principal, Dr. Paz, had the opportunity to present on Bringing Animals into the Classroom! 🐾

Teachers learned how classroom pets can support student learning and social-emotional development, how to incorporate animals into their curriculum, and how to provide responsible, proper care for their new classroom companions.

Dr. Paz also shared how educators can receive a FREE reptile for their classroom through her nonprofit, Scales & Tails Reptile & Exotic Pet Rescue! 🐍🦎

What an incredible opportunity to combine education, compassion, and animal rescue while creating meaningful learning experiences for students!

🧡 Thank you, CISD, for investing in the people who invest in our students every single day!

Our Alderete Middle School PTO and Stucco members went above and beyond to make her feel loved and appreciated! They showered her with Bath & Body Works goodies, sweet treats, self-care items, and heartfelt posters filled with words of affirmation and love. 🥰💐🧖‍♀️

Her favorite color is blue, so they made sure to include beautiful blue touches throughout the celebration! 💙
