Recently our character was called into question by Rose (Sapien)Hodge. Her claims on us "hiding" and trying to rip you off are incorrect. We do not appreciate being called liars and thiefs. We have nothing to hide and have never hid anything from the class. We have all the proof.. If proof of the itemized contract we have signed with the casino is needed then you are welcomed to join us at our commitee meeting this Saturday, July 15th at 10am. We are more than happy to provide location through private message. We also have spreadsheets as well as reciept books.

Most important things here is, Does this Class of 1997 still want the reunion? If so, we need to pay off the remaining balance at Casino by Sept 14th. The only way that can happen is by classmates paying to attend reunion. As of today, we need at least 25 paid classmates with spouses or 50 single classmates. If you do not want to attend, that is your choice, but please do not create a division by telling others that this reunion is canceled, that we lie, and that there is tension among the committee. Whatever your reasons for not attending is fine no hard feelings on our part. Everyone is still invited to attend.

The class has a hard working committee that wanted nothing but to bring the class together.

We will be moving this page to a closed group that will be available to "Class of 1997" classmates ONLY and this page will be deleted in the near future.

Ok everyone here is the hard truth. This event isn't happening if we don't start to seeing more monies coming in by Sept 1st. I as your "class president" am tired of all the wrong info being given out to classmates about this event who are not involved in the committee. We are doing this for you, the class of 97, but if we can't get it together as a class and continue with foolishness then this isn't going to happen.
Everyone has their opinion now that we are in late stages of needing it to come together and now everyone is a party planner for a "reunion" and yet no one says they will attend a meeting or the reunion. Next meeting has been posted. We still need lots of help with this reunion. IF you feel that we are hiding anything then please attend a meeting or two to see how things are going behind the scenes. We don't have the time or energy to be posting every little minute of what goes on behind the scene in our meetings here on Facebook.
I apologize now if this offends anyone but it is the truth and not meant to offend. I never thought that this class was so divided over a reunion at a time when we all should be coming together. It's disappointing and embarrasing to all involved. I am speaking on behalf of those in committee, and classmates that are wanting to attend, or are attending this reunion. I will no longer entertain questions on here about budget. It has been listed in Rose Hodges post on our page. Scroll and read or attend a committee meeting. Thank You!

Hello Eagles, Angela Ortiz here, hope every one had a great 4th of July!! Now it's back to the grind!

I want to let everyone know we have a committee meeting set for Saturday July 15th. It will be a short meeting, about an hour or so. Everyone(classmate) is welcome to attend to ask questions and to see what we are up to at this point.

We are currently looking for participants/volunteers to help with other small projects pertaining to Event. Contact Angela Ortiz at 915 497 6661. I do work throughout day so please leave a message, and I will call you back.
