Important Announcement

After nearly 20 years in the soap and cosmetic business, I am officially retiring! It’s been an amazing journey from making soaps in my kitchen, to supplying stores throughout the country. I appreciate every customer and every sale that made it possible. Thank you so much for your support.
I would also like to introduce you to MOD Market, an artisan market and gift shop in downtown Northville. MOD Market provides job training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. They have sold products from The Great Lakes Natural Soap Company and Places for several years. When I made the decision to retire, the management at MOD Market decided they wanted to continue to sell soap and cosmetic products, and an amazing joint venture was created. Over the past year, we have worked collaboratively, training their staff to make product, who then trained their members to make product. Now, MOD Market an enterprise of Living and Learning Enrichment Center - a non-profit organization in Northville, proudly sells handmade soap and cosmetics under their label "Uniquely MOD". Every purchase supports their product making program and MOD Market's employment training programs for adults with disabilities.
MOD Market has taken over our former studio space at the Village Arts Factory. Peek in the window and you will see them hard at work creating amazing soap, bath bombs and more. I couldn’t be prouder of what they are accomplishing every day.

Classes at Science + Lyes will continue through April 21.
