Design your own restaurants (with pretend money but REAL food!) was a success today! Students learn real world skills such as planning, service, organization, communication, and handling money while having fun. Day 1 included “Morning Maple Cafe” and “Pancake Wars” restaurants!

What does your field trip tie dye look like?! We learned 4 styles- spider, spiral, bullseye and stripes. Some students chose to make their own styles! Please share your results below. (Mrs. H chose to do stripes in her favorite colors!)

We are authors…again! That’s twice in one week! Students used their nonfiction writing skills to create a booklet about their topic using nonfiction text features and fun facts. Look for these at the Expo Tuesday night!

Our official books came today! We spent 9 weeks writing and illustrating our very own books, and today we celebrated with a PUBLISHING PARTY!! This project creates such a fun way to improve writing skills and get students excited while also creating a wonderful memento.
