The thing about a Goddard preschooler is they’re going to be curious. Keep the questions coming 👏

Personally, we’d hire them as videographers 📹

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.
2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.
3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can are a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.

What an incredible Family Fun Day! 🎉💙

We were thrilled to welcome a couple hundred of our current families and community members for a fun-filled morning this past Saturday at The Goddard School of Canton!

We had games, face painting, amazing balloon art, ice cream, and popsicles, there were smiles everywhere we looked. It was such a joy to see children laughing, playing, and making memories while families connected with one another and our school community.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing community and can't wait to do it again!

🐠🦁❄️🌴 Exploring Animal Habitats Through Play and Creativity!

Our toddlers have been learning all about animal habitats as part of our "Where Do Animals Live?" theme. Throughout the week, they explored a variety of environments and the animals that call them home.

The children learned about aquatic habitats by discovering fish and other water-dwelling creatures. Using fish catchers, they scooped animals from the water, strengthening fine motor skills while learning about life beneath the surface.

After reading stories about animal homes, the children put their knowledge into action by creating their own habitats using craft materials. Cotton became snowy landscapes, blue paper represented water habitats, and green paper transformed into jungles. They then matched animals to their correct environments, reinforcing what they had learned through hands-on exploration.

These engaging activities encouraged curiosity about the natural world while building creativity, critical thinking, and fine motor skills. We love seeing our young learners discover new concepts through play! ❤️

♻️ Turning trash into treasure! 🎨

Our Pre-K students have been learning about the importance of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As part of their exploration, they transformed recycled newspapers into a fun paper mâché art project!

Through this hands-on activity, children discovered that everyday items don't always have to be thrown away—they can be reused and turned into something creative and meaningful. Along the way, they practiced teamwork, strengthened fine motor skills, and gained a better understanding of how recycling helps our environment.

We love seeing our young learners use their imaginations while learning how to care for our world! 🌎💚
