Students are participating in an attendance challenge from now until November 19th. The grade level with the best attendance over the next 29 school days will win. Students from the winning grade level, who qualify, will have the chance to throw a pie in the face of the principal, assistant principal, counselor or another participating staff member.

I know that we are in October, but I wanted to recognize two students who were named as the Rotary Club Students of the Month for September: Emmie DeSilva and Cale Clayton.

Both of these students exemplify everything we look for in our students. They are hard working, kind, and goal oriented leaders on our campus who go above and beyond to help others and the school. Their teachers said they are always respectful, always have a smile on their face, willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it, and are overall exceptional students.

Congratulations to Emmie and Cale for this well deserved honor!

This week’s Eagle Football Staff Shout Out was proudly presented by Easton Ragle, Cap Herchman, and Jaxton Day. All three of these young men are defined by their outstanding leadership, infectious positive attitudes, and a team-oriented mindset that elevates everyone around them on and off the field!

These student-athletes chose to honor Mrs. Shanks for this week's award. When asked why, they shared that she always creates a safe environment, is incredibly supportive, real nice, caring, thoughtful, and respectful, and they enjoy her class! She is truly a profoundly positive influence on all students.

Thank you, Mrs. Shanks, for everything you do for Canton Junior High School and for always matching the energy and spirit of our students. Go Eagles!

At CJH, mums and garters may be worn at school on the CJH homecoming pep-rally day (Thursday). Due to the distraction involved, bells or noise makers found on homecoming mums and garters must be taped. The exchange of mums, garters, etc. must happen outside of school hours. Remember, students must be in dress code.

This week’s Eagle’s Football Staff Shout Out was proudly presented by Ethan Hall, Isaiah De La Rosa, Landon Rogers and Bryce Davidson. All four of these young men are phenomenal students, exemplary in their behavior, and relentless workers on and off the field! These student-athletes chose to honor our, Mrs. Melton, for this week's award. When asked why, they shared that she always creates a safe environment, is incredibly supportive, and—most importantly—is a profoundly positive influence on all students!
Thank you, Mrs. Melton, for everything you do for Canton Junior High School and for always matching the energy and spirit of our students.

GO EAGLES!
