Hello Classmates!
We hope the New Year is off to a terrific start for you and your family. Although we may have experienced some challenges in 2014, God has allowed us to see 2015, and for that blessing alone, we are grateful!!!
Please mark your calendar for this Saturday, January 17th for our first meeting of the year, 3:00 p.m. at the South Liberty Baptist Church. CLASSMATES, PLEASE ENTER THRU THE FRONT DOORS. The purpose of this meeting is to: Set the Class Agenda for 2015; Confirm 'additional' classmates for various committees; and Get YOUR input for the 2-year Class Reunion Celebration to occur in 2016. Please bring YOUR IDEAS for service to the Class/Classmates, and others less fortunate. Several classmates have been emailed and/or text message about serving on various committees, so hopefully you will confirm your acceptance to these committees. We want to engage as many classmates as possible.
Let's try to increase participation for our meetings with the concept of 'Each One Brings One'.
We will also have a special message from Class President, Firosey Baker!!! Also, Delois Taylor-Thomas and the Midwest Chapter are in the process of planning their AGENDA for 2015, so we are looking forward to sharing information.
We are looking forward to seeing each one, who brings one :)
With loving greetings, CAC

Classmates, we want to offer clarification regarding our Party with a Purpose Celebration. We were unable to secure the Clubhouse on King Ranch Road, which is the place where the celebration normally takes place the day after Christmas. The local hotels increased their rental costs for a room to more than $100+ dollars. We gave consideration to joining the Cantonian Club, but there weren’t enough tickets available for us; therefore, classmate, Walter Caldwell offered his home (with wife Mamie). There is no cost to attend the party!! The food is being provided by classmates, who attended the December 6th meeting. The $10.00 that we are asking for as mentioned in the original email is to help offset the cost of the bicycle of our adopted family, and to help the mother beyond the Christmas holiday. We want to ‘make a difference’ with this family, which is staying in a local hotel paid for by the Red Cross. When the mother’s time is up (at the hotel), the RHS Class of ’69 wants to work in conjunction with the Red Cross to help the mother and her two children. The family lost all of their belongings in the fire. The Party with a Purpose will take place:DATE: Friday, December 26, 2014PLACE: 161 Stump Bridge Road (Canton)Home of Walter and Mamie CaldwellTIME: 7:00 p.m. Please make plans to join the class celebration, and feel free to wear your Christmas colors :)! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!CAC

The Passing of Mr. William Greenwood (FATHER) of Classmate: Lois Kiner-Dawson

11/11/2014

Dear Classmates,
We hope all is well with each of you and your families!!! The Midwest Chapter of the Class of 1969 informed the CAC of the passing of Mr. William Greenwood, the father of classmate Lois Kiner-Dawson. Mr. Greenwood transitioned from this life Friday, November 7th. The funeral arrangements are incomplete in Chicago at this time.
Classmates, let us please keep Lois and her family in our prayers and thoughts during this time of bereavement as we pray for God's comfort to console them. The CAC will send the Midwest Chapter our family bereavement note so that Lois will know the RHS Class of 1969 is supporting her from afar as well as classmates nearby.
Please take care, and let us pray for each other!!!
Prayerfully submitted, CAC
