Congratulations to 19 Construction Technologies CTE students who have been accepted into the Pre Apprenticeship Electrical Program through the Electrical Trades Center of Greater Stark County!

A typical electrical apprenticeship takes four years to complete. Through this partnership, our students can complete the first year while still in high school at no cost to them, giving them a valuable head start toward careers in the electrical construction industry.

Congratulations, Bulldogs! We are proud to see you building your futures through CTE!

Pictured with the students are Stephanie Pipero-Henderson, Director of Career Technical Education at Canton City Schools, and Don Fox, JATC Director. *Please note that not all 19 students are pictured.

We were excited to welcome students from across Ohio to the Bulldog Activity Center today for the 6th Annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic College Fair!

Students met with representatives from colleges and universities nationwide to explore admissions, scholarships, majors, and life after high school. Breakout sessions also covered college essays, finances, choosing a major, and the HBCU experience.

We are always proud to have the BAC serve as the host site for an event that brings so many students and educational opportunities together in Canton!

Our second graders had some special guests in their classrooms this morning as part of the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic Weekend!

Community leaders and members of the Divine Nine historically Black fraternities and sororities visited second-grade classrooms across Canton City Schools, sharing All Because You Matter by Tami Charles and spending time encouraging our young Bulldogs.

Each book was left behind as a gift for the classroom so students can continue to enjoy its important message.

Thank you to all of our guest readers who spent time in our elementary schools today and helped remind our students that they matter!
