This summer, skip the flash cards.
Deck o' Dots helps kids build number sense through games, conversation, and play - not memorization. With three levels of cards and 16 different games for each level, one deck can keep math learning going all summer long.
✔ No worksheets
✔ No flash cards
✔ Just meaningful math practice disguised as fun
Dots not digits. Because understanding numbers matters more than memorizing them.

Teachers know that the best lesson plans are the ones that still work when things don't go exactly as planned.
Leadership is no different.
The strongest schools and organizations aren't built on heroic effort—they're built on systems that support people, priorities, and long-term growth.
That's why I'm excited about Courtney De Ronde's new book, Planning to Scale. Her work through Scaling Leader has influenced so much of our thinking around planning, leadership, and sustainable growth at SIS.
While the book is written for business leaders, I think many school and district leaders will connect with the ideas around clarity, alignment, and building systems that help organizations thrive long term.

Such a simple idea…such a big impact. 👏
A brilliant teacher at Perry Elementary (Ypsilanti Community Schools) came up with a fun way to help students remember which way to clear the Counting Buddy: she added a smiley face and feet to either side of the whiteboard so students know exactly which way to push the beads before each numeracy talk!
Small visual supports like this can make routines smoother, increase independence, and keep the focus on mathematical thinking instead of directions. 💡
Sometimes the best classroom ideas are the ones that come straight from teachers in the moment. ❤️

There’s nothing better than spending the day in classrooms alongside teachers and students. 🎥
Yesterday, we were filming inside two of our partner schools, capturing incredible math instruction in action, including meaningful numeracy talks, fraction number talks, student thinking, and real classroom routines.
A huge thank you to Perry Elementary or welcoming us in the morning — especially Ms. Englehardt’s 1st grade class and Ms. Brooks’ Kindergarten class. 💙
And thank you to Holmes Elementary for an amazing afternoon with Ms. Lee’s 2nd graders and Ms. Jones’ 5th graders!
