Meet Erin Brown Thomas, an Academy Award winner and this week’s Pioneer spotlight!

Erin graduated from Malone in 2007 with her B.A. in Liberal Arts. Since graduating, she has worked on a variety of film projects–including Chasers, featured in both Sundance and Slamdance film festivals. She recently served as associate producer on The Singers, which received an Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards.

Congratulations to Erin on this accomplishment; the Pioneer community is cheering you on!

This year we’re closing Homecoming with a melodious celebration. This concert will feature our choral groups, the Malone band, and alumni participating in both ensembles. 🎷🎤

Our traditions truly impact the lives of students here at Malone, and a notable one is initiated by our Malone Associates every year when they provide each of our first-year students with a physical Bible during orientation. Hitting it out of the park with this week’s Pioneer spotlight! ⚾

Brian Shoop ‘80 was selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association as part of their Hall of Fame Class of 2027. Congratulations to Brian on this accomplishment! 🎉

Beyond an impressive career statistically, the ABCA press announcement specifically called out that Brian is “widely respected for his leadership and integrity within the profession.” Brian is an inspiring example of what it can look like to serve Christ with excellence through a career and a calling.
