Happy Thursday, Flower Friends!!🌸

If you've been missing having fresh flowers in your home, I am so excited to share that our roadside flower stand will be re-opening next week just in time for 4th of July celebrations!! I am finally feeling mostly better from the illness that has taken our family down this past month. Thank you so much for your kind words, emails, and encouragement!! You all are simply wonderful!! (But I already knew that..😉)

Thursday morning I will be stocking the Front Porch Cafe in Hartville with mixed sunflower bouquets. These are not your typical sunflowers, think butter yellow petals with dark brown centers... they will be love at first sight!! You can find these cheerful bundles right by the cash registers.

I'm already looking forward to seeing your faces next week!! Keep your eyes peeled for more info, or join our Newsletter to get the dirt first!!

💐I promise no spam-- just a lot of real life, encouragement, and JOY to your inbox every Tuesday!!

God is always up to something. He uses it all...even a girl with a lousy voice and sometimes a doubtful attitude. He filled my bucket down to the last stem of what I would need to make bouquets for today.

Not to sell... but as a vessel to remind some very hurting people that He sees them and he loves them. I can't make this stuff up, I keep getting texts, calls, and faces pop in my mind that will be getting bouquets this weekend.

I feel so humbled to have the opportunity to be a part of the stories God is writing. And to think I almost ignored that voice and went to bed early.

Is there something He's asking you to do that sounds silly or trivial or even impossible? I encourage you to trust that still small voice.

Good morning, Flower friends!! 🌼

Yesterday was the first time since last Wednesday that I have been out in the flowers. It's been 2 weeks of amazing highs for our family and baseball community! I still can't stop smiling...⚾️

However, for an entire month, our family has been battling illnesses. Just when we think we're in the clear, another one of us goes down. Unfortunately, that one is me right now. It started nine days ago and doesn't want to seem to let me go. So I made another trip to the doctor and have some new medication on board, which I'm hoping does the trick!🤞🙏

If I'm being honest, I'm feeling overwhelmed and have zero energy. This is when having some trained flower loving employees would come in handy!! There are simply too many hurdles standing in my way to getting flowers in your hands right now, and I need to focus on my health. So I have made the decision to close our flower stand the remainder of June.

➡️ The flower stand will be back in July to launch off our July 4th weekend!! Keep your eyes peeled here for those updates OR join our weekly newsletter here: www.joyfullblooms.com

In the meantime, I want to thank you for your patience and encouragement. Sometimes, the hard decision is the right one.💗

Can't wait to see you all so soon at the flower
stand!!

Just a sunset picking session ....ya know, the weirdos, the ones that are too open to share, but still so beautiful! 😍

The spike flowers are larkspur, and they are putting on a show like no other! The colors are otherworldly and make my heart skip a beat!💗 These babes will be gracing my kitchen island this week!

➡️ If you would like a bundle for your home, you can find them this week by the cash registers at the Front Porch Cafe in Hartville starting on Thursday! The roadside flower stand will be CLOSED this weekend.

I can't wait until we have more blooms to share with you all in the next week or two! Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for updates. Thank you for your patience during gap season! 🌸

The larkspur is here and showing off in shades of dark purple, lavender, baby pink, and white.

These tall spires of blooms come from months of planning and waiting! The seeds were sown last fall for blooms in June!! They make the most dramatic, colorful centerpiece.

I can't wait to share these beauty's with you all soon!

Gap season. It's the time between Spring and Summer Blooms that is a little leaner. The end of one season and the beginning of another. Us flower growers, we try our hardest to fill this gap to keep the blooms coming and filling your homes!

Unfortunately, this year, those flowers that were planned and planted got knocked out by our very cold winter. So, we wait...🌸

Initially, the realization that we were going to have this pause in an abundance of blooms had me feeling sad and like somehow I had failed, but then I realized that perhaps this is a gift... more time to spend with my boys, dogs, and husband. The gift of slower mornings until the hustle starts. More pool time, walks, coffee with friends. Time to cook more, maybe clean 🤔😅, and read some books.

Don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of work being done, but while I do miss having armloads of blooms right now, I know that they are just around the corner. Soon, the roadside stand will be bustling again, and all the plans and hard work will come to fruition.

In the meantime, if you need a bouquet, please keep your eyes peeled on social media for pop-ups at Front Porch Café and Porch pickup options. As always, feel free to send us a DM or email as well. Thanks for being here as we wait patiently for all of the beauty on the horizon!!

Embracing this gift,

~April

Yesterday I cleared out the ranunculus and anemone tunnel to make room for more summer and fall blooms... It was such a bittersweet moment! Every year the ranunculus show up even better than the year before, and I always ask myself why I didn't plant more... seriously, why?!!😂😂

And then the peonies show up and collide with the the ruffles of ranunculus and the fragrance is simply blissful. 💗 Adding little pops of sunshine in the form of white anemone, and it's one of those combinations that you just don't quickly forget. I'm already looking forward to next Spring and ordering all the things!!

As I make my orders, I need your help!! Tell me what you loved this spring and want to see more of? Give me colors, flower names, all the things in the comments below. ⬇⬇

Thank you for sharing your beautiful bouquets in sweet messages to me. It really makes my day to see how you style them, or to hear how you gifted them to lift someone up!! That's why we do this. 😊

💐Have an amazing week flower friends!!💐

Oh, happy day!! 💐It is Sunday, and that means if you bought a flower bouquet from the roadside stand this week, you've probably noticed that the lillies have these little streamers (called anthers) coming out of their centers that contain pollen.

To learn a little about why and how to remove them, watch my fancy video until the end. 😆

➡️ A little side note: As the first lily blooms begin to fade, feel free to pinch or cut them off and dispose of them in the trash so that the next bloom can open on the stem. It's really the gift that keeps on giving!!

I'd love to know what you think of these new to us flowers?! Should we keep lilies in the lineup for next season? Tell me in the comments⬇️⬇️

Happy Tuesday, Flower Friends!!
Well, the ranunculus have put in their 1 week notice, and they are ready for the lilies to take over for them. These ruffled beauties have been pushing out stems like nobody's business since before Mother's Day, they have done their job, and done it well if you ask me!
That means that this week will be the last week for you to snag some these beauties in our bouquets at the flower stand! We will be pairing them with lilies that have been growing in our basement since the end of February and other glorious spring blooms!
You can find our bouquets stocked at the self-serve roadside flower stand on Thursday and Friday this week. All bouquets are $25 each. We accept exact cash, Venmo, and credit cards at the flower stand.
Thursday hours: 8AM-6 PM
Friday hours: 8AM- 4 PM/sellout
Location: 7521 Beverly Ave. NE Canton, OH 44721
See you soon!
