Creative Crusaders at work! From shaping clay and creating masks to working collaboratively on an Exquisite Co**se display to getting behind the camera, creativity takes a lot of different forms at Central Catholic. Our Crusaders are learning by creating, performing, experimenting, and bringing their own ideas to life — whether their canvas is clay, a video screen, a design program, or the stage.

We offer more than a dozen arts classes for students to select from. Students can take an art class for fun, to fulfill their art requirement, or take courses to prepare portfolios for art school.

The Green & White is going pink for our Homecoming Football Game on October 2nd!

Two members of Central Catholic’s 2026 Hall of Fame Class, Stacy Gilbert and Josie Sethi, passed away from breast cancer. Before their passing, Stacy and Josie were passionate advocates for breast cancer awareness.

In their honor, along with all those who have battled breast cancer, Crusaders are encouraged to purchase this shirt designed by Stacy’s daughter as a special tribute to Stacy and Josie. Proceeds will benefit the Little Pink Ribbon Girl Foundation, founded in memory of Central Catholic alumni Angie Vitale Conley, who also lost her life to breast cancer. Wear them on October 2nd and help us turn the stadium pink!

Orders must be placed by September 13th for delivery the week of the game.

Did you know that Crusader Cross Country kicks off the season each year with a canoe run? They run 3 miles to the canoe launch site, enjoy donuts and chocolate milk, and then canoe back 3 miles!

That tradition certainly prepared them for the season. Last weekend, at the Claymont Invitational, the boys placed 5th of 12 teams. Leading the Crusaders were Caleb Paul, Dom Minocchi, Sam Sciaretti, Jonah Rohr, Rowan Benjamin, Mason Schilling and Danny Vlacovsky. Leading the girls team were Annabelle Hehr, Taylor Magee, Mikayla Houston and Sophie Martin. Good luck to them today, Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Brian Armstrong Northwest Invitational.

CRUSADER FRIDAY NIGHTS! It’s more than a football game.....

It’s the team under the lights, the band in the stands, the cheerleaders on the sidelines, the student section on its feet, and the community that shows up to support the Cru.

Tonight we welcome Northwest, with a 7 pm kickoff. It is also Future Crusader Night. Elementary students receive free admission, giveaways and the chance to take the field at halftime.

We are proud to announce this year’s Crusader Hall of Fame inductees! The Class of 2026 represents outstanding achievement, dedication, leadership, and service to Central Catholic and the greater community. We look forward to celebrating these outstanding Crusaders during Homecoming Weekend.

Crusader Boys Soccer beat Tuslaw earlier this week, 2-1. Alex Winkhart had a goal and an assist, with Nathaniel Pena scoring the other goal. Emerson Schwiger made 6 saves in goal to help secure the win. Nice work! They play at Rootstown later today, Thursday, Sept. 3. Keep it up, Cru!

Crusader Girls Tennis remains UNDEFEATED! They improved their record to 9-0 after beating GlenOak 3-2 yesterday. Winning matches for the Cru were Ava Kraft at 2nd singles, Ella Eisenbarth at 3rd singles, and the all-sister team of Caroline and Grace Finefrock at first doubles. Also winning their match was the team of Addyson Neisel and Madison Scott. The team travels to Dover this afternoon. Keep it up, ladies!

Crusader Volleyball beat Norwayne on Monday. In the varsity win, Sophia Keane led the offense with 13 kills, followed by Giada Marshall with 9 kills. On defense, Avery McMahon racked up 15 digs, while Evie Meeker added 11! Running the offense, Kat Darrow finished with 16 assists, and Mae Axline with 13. Julianne Hammer dominated at the net with 2 blocks! From behind the service line, Kat with 14 service points and 2 aces! Player of the Game: Sophia Keane. The girls play Glenoak today, Wed. Sept. 2, at home.
