Tippens EC students in teacher Brittany Altman’s class work on Valentine's Day-inspired learning activities.

Our students are learning more, growing more and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else! Each school day, we celebrate one student nominated for their excellence by a teacher. Today’s Student of the Day is Tippens Education Center eighth-grader Nick Stone! He was nominated by teacher Kelly Robertson: “I am so proud of Nick's self-awareness and his positive growth using more socially appropriate skills to respond to difficult situations he encounters. He has gained a higher level of self-esteem and is able to advocate for himself with staff and peers in a positive, self-reflecting manner.”

We are beyond excited to announce our amazing Teacher of the Year: Jordan Hofmeister! Mr. H simply never stops working to make the lives of our kids better. From taking the initiative to start a music program for our students, to coaching Special Olympics in his free time, Mr. H goes above and beyond to create enriching experiences for students with special needs. He is a great teacher and an asset to our Tippens family. Congratulations, Mr. Hofmeister, on this well deserved honor!
