Real Conversations. Real Freedom
VBS is often centered around younger children—and for four incredible days, the Life Church team poured into hundreds of our elementary students through worship, games, lessons, skits, crafts, and the love of Jesus.
But this year, they did something extra.
After serving at Adams Thermal Academy in 2022 and 2024, they felt God leading them to intentionally invest in our high school students as well—young people who are often overlooked in traditional VBS settings.
Over two powerful days, they shared the theme "Be Real." Through the moving drama "Everything", honest testimonies from six U.S. students and team members, and small-group discussions led by Ethiopian facilitators, our teens were challenged to take off the masks they wear and bring their struggles into the light. Together, they talked openly about real issues like addiction, pride, lust, fear, shame, self harm and the freedom found in Christ.
What followed was extraordinary. Students spent hours sharing their hearts, encouraging one another, praying together, and experiencing God's love in a deeply personal way. Before leaving, the Life Church team also blessed each student with a thoughtful personal gift—a reminder of the "Be Real" message and of the love, hope, and freedom found in Christ. Every detail of those two days was intentional, and every moment pointed students toward Jesus.
We believe the Holy Spirit was at work, breaking chains and planting seeds that will bear fruit for years to come.
Thank you, Life Church, for not only faithfully serving our younger students but also for intentionally investing in the next generation of young adults. Your authenticity, compassion, vulnerability, and willingness to share your own stories created space for God to move in powerful ways.
We are humbled, grateful, and excited to see how God continues to work in the lives of these students.
