Not how that works, because neither Fahrenheit, or Celsius measure in absolute scale. (if they did, you couldn't have sub-zero values for either.)

The Kelvin scale, however is an "absolute scale" in that zero means zero, and does not refer to the freezing point of water (Celsius) nor is it arbitrary. (Fahrenheit)

That means that we cannot "add temperatures" to each other in Celsius or Fahrenheit scales and get a meaningful answer, but we can do so in the Kelvin scale.

The proper way to solve this problem is as follows:

0 Celcius == 273.15 Kelvin
so 273.15 degrees Kelvin, + 273.15 degrees Kelvin == 546.3 degrees Kelvin.

(or 273.15 degrees Celsius. Your pick.)

Then, and only then do you convert to Fahrenheit.

273.15 Celsius == 546.3 Kelvin == 523.67 Fahrenheit

sooo the answer to 0 Celsius + 0 Celsius == 523.67 Fahrenheit
