Manicures, pedicures, homemade face masks, new hairstyles, and some good ol' relaxation... that was spa day at EELA Canton! No better way to prep for graduation than getting beautified and zen in your jammies with your bffs! We are so grateful for all of the memories we've had the chance to make with this special crew 🧖🏼🥒💅🏼😌

In case you didn't know: every year, EELA students follow the life cycle of chicks as we incubate them and raise them in their first couple of weeks! This year's brood came just in time for Mother's Day. We are having so much fun getting to know them and practicing being gentle, quiet, calm, and making observations! We even got to check out their eggshells. Next up: ducklings! 🐣❤️🥚👶🏻🪄

Did you know that it's teacher appreciation week?! We want to extend infinite gratitude to the educators that make our program what it is— Miss Scrimo and Miss Miller! It takes the largest heart, the most thoughtful mind, and the most selfless spirit to choose teaching. It might just take a little bit extra of each to choose to teach the youngest students, at such critical points in their development. Thank you to everyone who made our art show a success! We had so much fun showing off our students' hard work and enjoying a Friday night with our besties. Snow cones, face paint, activities, art, and your favorite people— what could be better?! 🎨💚🍧✨

The weather may be wishy-washy, but we are not! Our youth art show and festival is still on tonight, just inside with some modifications! We'll see you from 6-8 for fun and art!!! ❤️

S'more good times! Rest time can be hard at the end of the year, so yesterday we made it fun by going on a pretend camping trip! While their friends dozed, students did a great job reading independently in their "tents", and we even got to enjoy a sweet camping treat at the end! 🍫🔥⛺️🌧️😴❤️

Our last art project for the art show on Friday were some recycled birdhouses. Check out the focus on our faces! Our tiny artists would love it if you'd come to support them and check out all of their hard work this Friday from 6-8 pm— free of charge!!! 🎨🩵🐥🌱

Friday was another special day at EELA Canton! We got two special visits: one from the Kona Ice truck, and one from a very special guest reader! Miss Scrimo's mom, who is a literacy specialist at Springfield Local Schools, came to read to us and play some games. What a magical way to end an awesome week! 📚🍧✨🩵
