This September we began our 9th year of offering GIRLS UNPLUGGED for the 2026-2027 school year! There were over 30 girls in attendance we all had an AMAZING time!
At this gathering we spoke with the girls about our program and shared the “WHY” of Girls Unplugged and then also introduced all of our Leaders—-Six awesome women who represent our local business sponsors; Samantha Norton and Carissa Yocum from the Canton YWCA, Susan Baldwin from MidAmerica National Bank, Erin Coulter from Ingersoll Middle School and Catherine Calvert and Melissa Miller from Spoon River College.

Girls Unplugged is a FREE group that meets once a month for 5th-8th grade girls at Ingersoll Middle School. This group is led by 6 local volunteers and proudly sponsored by Spoon River College, Canton YWCA and MidAmerica National Bank. Often community members ask us what our needs are for our program, so we compiled a list of snacks that the girls enjoy every month. Please shop our list if you would like to support our program.
