Today we had so much fun as little pilgrim children setting sail on the Mayflower! They first had to color in their route to get to the new world. After that they got their tickets to board the Mayflower. They had to put themselves in order to be able to get on the boat. Once they were in the boat, we shared our needs and wants (great job with these!) and slept and woke up 65 times ( kept track on our 10’s frames.) We also ate salted horse (beef jerky) hard tack (dried biscuits) and oranges to ward of the scurvy. Once we got to the new world, we planted corn just like Squanto recommended and built our houses. We ended the day with relaxing and watching Charlie Browns Mayflower Voyage. It was a great day!

Friday was a super fun day for the kiddos! They all looked so cute in their costumes! We carved pumpkins, had a dance party, a school costume parade, and ended the day with a classroom party put on by our amazing room moms! What a great day!

We grew our pumpkin patch this week! Everyday we added a little bit to our patch and then on Friday when they came to school… their little green pumpkins grew into a real orange pumpkin!! Have fun decorating them and I can’t wait to see them on Monday!!

Today we reviewed out Knowledge Unit on Christopher Columbus and the Pilgrims, by sailing on the Mayflower to the New World. We colored the Mayflower, a picture of the trip that the pilgrims took from England to Massachusetts, we made log cabins and did some school work on our “slates.”. These little pilgrims did such a great job listening in our crowded little ship, I didn’t even have to throw anyone overboard. 🤷🏼♀️😊
