After a full school day, many students need time to reset before jumping into homework, chores, or questions about their day. They may have spent hours focusing, following directions, managing friendships, handling noise, and working through challenges.

An after-school reset is not “doing nothing”, it is an opportunity for a student’s mind and body to recharge. Try offering a snack, water, movement, sensory play, quiet time, or connection before asking them to move on to the next task.

Every child is different, so create a reset routine that feels supportive and realistic for your family. Even 10–15 minutes can make a difference.

A self-care menu gives kids and teens simple options to support their mind, body, and spirit when life feels busy, stressful, or overwhelming. Encourage your child to choose a few ideas that feel realistic and helpful for them.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day, a reminder that checking in can matter more than we realize.

A simple “How are you really doing?” or “I’m here with you” can help someone feel less alone. For children and teens, emotional support often begins with safe adults who listen without judgment, make room for big feelings, and take concerns seriously.

📖 DYSLEXIA THERAPY IS MORE THAN EXTRA READING PRACTICE.
