What a weekend. ❤️🌿

The WildKidd yurt is officially standing.

It's hard to put into words what this weekend meant to us. What started as a dream became something you can now walk up to, touch, and stand inside.

Built from saplings, wrapped with some pretty gnarly rope, a handful of screws, and an incredible amount of heart, this yurt already has a story. Every tree, every knot, and every helping hand represents people who believe children deserve a place to connect with nature.

One of the most meaningful parts of the weekend wasn't just the building itself—it was the people.

Friends stopped by. Families brought their kids just to see what was taking shape. Neighbors, supporters, and curious visitors came to walk the property, ask questions, and experience the vision we're creating. It was incredibly humbling and such an honor to have so many people spend part of their weekend with us. Seeing children explore, adults smile, and conversations spark about what WildKidd is becoming reminded us why we're doing this.

This yurt isn't just a structure.

It will become a place where kids discover confidence, build friendships, solve problems, get muddy, learn new skills, care for the land, and experience the kind of childhood that stays with them forever.

We're still just getting started, but this weekend was a milestone we'll never forget.

To every person who carried saplings, tied rope, turned screws, shared a meal, brought your family, stopped by to cheer us on, or simply believed in this dream...

Bring the kids, explore the property, meet our founders, and watch our yurt classroom come to life as it's raised during the event! This is a huge milestone for WildKidd, and we're excited to share this special day with our community. You'll also have the chance to learn about our homeschool enrichment program and see the vision becoming a reality.

🚨 HELP US RAISE THE YURT! 🚨

We're looking for 12 volunteers to help us raise WildKidd's outdoor classroom!

📅 Date: This Saturday
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM (we hope to be finished by early afternoon!)

Requirements:
💪 Tall and strong is ideal...
😄 But if you're only tall or only strong, we'll gladly take you too!

This yurt will become a place where children connect with nature, learn, grow, and make lifelong memories. We'd love for our community to be part of bringing this dream to life.

We'll provide food, drinks, and plenty of gratitude!

🌿 HELP US BUILD THE VILLAGE 🌿

Over the past year, we've been working hard to build something special through WildKidd and MyVillage—a place where children can learn through nature, real-life experiences, community, meaningful relationships, and hands-on learning.

The vision is growing. The interest is growing. And now it's time to build the team that will help bring it to life.

As we move into the next phase, I am actively looking to add a few passionate, engaged individuals to our board and leadership team. I'm not looking for names on a list—I'm looking for people who want to help shape the future of what we're building.

I'm especially interested in connecting with people who have experience in:
• Fundraising & sponsorships
• Grant writing
• Nonprofit leadership
• Business development
• Project management
• Marketing & community outreach
• Education
• Agriculture, trades, or youth programs
• Community connections and networking

You do not need to be an expert. What matters most is believing in the mission and being willing to contribute your time, ideas, experience, connections, and talents.

My immediate goal is to build a working board that can help guide fundraising, community partnerships, organizational growth, and the launch of our programs.

🌿 WILDKIDD Homeschool Enrichment Program 🌿

After years of dreaming, planning, and building, we're finally opening the gates and getting started.

Beginning this week, homeschool families are invited to join us on:

📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕙 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Canterbury, NH

This is an outdoor, community-based homeschool enrichment program focused on:

🌱 Nature
🛠 Real-life skills
🐔 Animals
🌲 Outdoor exploration
🤝 Community
🔥 Campfire cooking
🍅 Gardening & homesteading
🎨 Creativity
🏕 Free play

This is not a drop-off program and it's not a traditional classroom.

We'll spend our time working together on projects around the property, maintaining trails and gardens, caring for animals, building things, learning new skills, exploring nature, sharing meals, and letting kids be kids.

Some days may include:
• Gardening and planting
• Trail work
• Fort building
• Nature crafts
• Animal care
• Campfire cooking
• Creek exploration
• Seasonal projects
• Community service
• Free play and outdoor adventures

Please bring:
✔ Water bottle
✔ Lunch or something to share
✔ Clothes that can get dirty
✔ Change of clothes
✔ Water shoes for creek play if you have them

There is currently no fee and no long-term commitment.

We are looking for founding families who want to help build something meaningful together. We want your ideas, your skills, and your input. What would you like your children to learn? What can your family share? What is missing from homeschool opportunities in our area?

🌟 TEEN LEADERSHIP TEAM 🌟

We're also looking for local teens who want to help build something bigger than themselves.

The vision is for a teen leadership team that helps plan projects, organize fundraisers, support community service efforts, help shape programs, and learn leadership skills while making a real impact in our community.

Something special is being built here in Canterbury. 🤍🌲

WILDKIDD was created with one mission in mind: helping kids reconnect with nature, community, hands-on learning, and the kind of childhood many of us feel is slowly disappearing.

Over the past few years, this vision has slowly started becoming reality. We officially received our 501(c)(3) approval, families are reaching out, programs are beginning to take shape, and now we are physically building the spaces where this magic will happen.

Right now, we are working on our outdoor classroom and 25-foot yurt platform that will be used for children’s programs this summer, homeschool enrichment, preschool programs, nature education, and more.

As we continue building, we are looking to connect with local people, businesses, and community partners who may want to support the project and help us bring this vision fully to life. Support could look like:
