Good evening, BMS families,
It’s hard to believe that we are already heading into June! We have 2 weeks left of school, and there are a lot of events going on next week. Please read this letter in its entirety.
IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL PARENTS/STUDENTS:
Chromebook collection will be held on Thursday, June 5th. All students must have both their Chromebook and charger ready to be turned in first thing Thursday morning. This is an important process so all devices can be accounted for, updated, and sanitized over the summer. If a student fails to return their Chromebook and/or charger, a bill will be sent. Failure to return or pay will result in your child not receiving a replacement for the following year. Please note that if an 8th-grade student fails to turn in their device, a replacement or payment is expected no later than June 11th. Failure in doing so will result in your child not being able to attend the 8th-grade commencement ceremony on June 12th. Your student will not receive their diploma until the payment is received.
RELAY FOR LIFE: Thank you to everyone who participated in Relay for Life. We raised over $2600.
SPORTS AWARDS: The sports award banquet will be held in the BMS gym on Tuesday, June 3, from 6-7:30 pm. This event is open to all students in grades 5-8 who participated in sports this year.
FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS: Field day is Friday, June 6th, and we are looking for parent volunteers. Please click the link to sign up to volunteer. https://tinyurl.com/bde8ru3v Signups close on Wednesday.
8TH GRADE DANCE: The 8th grade dance is on Friday, June 6, from 7-9:00 pm at the Scotland Volunteer Memorial Hall, 47 Brook Road, Scotland, CT. To attend the dance, students must attend half a day of school. Due to BMS field day being held on the same day, we are asking if your 8th-grade student will be leaving early to get ready for the dance, they are dismissed at noon. This way, we can have all students ready for dismissal in one location.
