The Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs held it's 74th Annual Convention earlier this month in North Canton, Ohio. The week kicked off with a field trip to Steelcon, LLC in New Waterford, Ohio.

Our group gained valuable insight into how Steelcon supports energy producers and industrial customers through oil and gas production equipment, pressure piping and vessels, and steel fabrication.

Thank you to the Steelcon, LLC team for hosting us and sharing your expertise!

Last month, Range Resources welcomed TRDD for a tour of two active drilling sites. During the visit, we gained valuable insights into both top hole and horizontal drilling rig operations.

One of the highlights was climbing the stairs to the rig floor, where we got a firsthand look inside the "doghouse". For several attendees, this was a milestone moment. Despite years in the industry, it was their first opportunity to observe these operations up close and in action.

A big thank you to Range Resources Corporation and their Drilling department for making this incredible experience possible!

Today, some of our members had the opportunity to tour the Vallourec Star production facility in Youngstown, Ohio.

Vallourec specializes in hot rolled seamless steel tubes, expandable tubular technology, automotive parts, and stainless steel, which it provides to energy, construction, automotive, and mechanical industries.

The pipe they manufacture is made completely out of scrap metal! The tour was incredibly informative and covered the manufacturing process from start to finish.

After attending two educational seminars at Convention this morning, the TRDD board used our free afternoon to take a trip on the M-Line Trolley. It was a great way to learn about uptown and downtown Dallas on this beautiful day! 🚎

Our final stop of the day (if you don’t count Buc-ee’s!) was a visit to Britt’s W**e & Dine. We sampled w**e and learned about the history of the property from Britt himself!
