At Beyond the Lines, we invite the children moving on to wear white as a symbol of purity, hope, and good luck as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
During our moving on ceremony we play a guessing game where we share clues about each child—their unique personality, interests, and memorable moments—and invite families and friends to guess who we are describing. Once the child is guessed, they will come forward to receive their lei.
A lei is much more than something beautiful to wear. Traditionally, it is a symbol of love, celebration, honor, and the meaningful connections we share with one another. It is often given to celebrate important milestones and new beginnings.
As we place each lei around a child’s neck, it represents how deeply loved, valued, and celebrated they are. It symbolizes all of the growth, joy, friendships, discoveries, and cherished memories they have made here at Beyond the Lines.
And just as the circle of a lei has no beginning or end, we hope the connection they have built with Beyond the Lines will always remain. No matter where their journey takes them next, they will always be a part of our Beyond the Lines family. 💛
