Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Grant Hale, a senior from Minerva High School.

There is something incredibly special about being part of a band family. The hours spent practicing, performing, traveling, supporting one another, and sharing memories create a bond that reaches far beyond the field. No matter what school we represent, we are all part of something bigger—a music family that understands the dedication, friendships, and memories that come with being in a band.

Today, we grieve alongside the Minerva band family and the entire Minerva community. We have lost one of our own, and our hearts go out to Grant’s family, friends, classmates, directors, and fellow musicians.

May the memories Grant created, the music he shared, and the people who loved him bring comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

Once a band family, always a band family. ❤️💛

With deepest sympathy,

The South Range Music Boosters would like to thank The Royal Oaks for feeding our band and flagline tonight. They enjoyed all of the amazing food. We had enough to share with the cheerleaders from our school and Youngstown Cheerleaders as well as our hard working EMT's.

We would also like to thank Julianna Miller Wellington for the delicious cake pops! Everyone was well fed!

Today, the South Range Music Boosters joins music lovers around the world in remembering the incomparable Dolly Parton. 💛

Long before she became a global music icon, Dolly was a high school band student—playing the snare drum in the Sevier County High School Marching Band.

That part of her story is especially meaningful to us. It reminds us that every great musical journey can begin in a school music room, on a practice field, or behind a drum.

Dolly gave the world far more than unforgettable music. Through her generosity, compassion, Imagination Library, and unwavering belief in children, she changed millions of lives. She showed us that true greatness is measured not only by the music we make, but also by the hope, kindness, and opportunities we give to others.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the stories, the books, the dreams, and the love you shared with the world. Your voice will live on, your kindness will continue to inspire, and your legacy will forever encourage young musicians to dream big and use their gifts to make a difference.

From one high school band family to another—we will always love you. 🎶🥁
