This year, Jesse Re*****on High School is celebrating 35 years of faith, learning, and lasting impact!

To honor this milestone, we’re launching Generations of Impact, a special 35-hour giving campaign with a goal of raising $35,000 to support the mission of JRHS and invest in the next generation of students.

Jesse Re*****on High School celebrates the life and legacy of one of our beloved teachers, Jim Philbrick, who went home to be with the Lord on July 28.

Jim faithfully served JRHS for 11 years as our college preparatory Physics and Chemistry teacher, investing not only in his students’ education, but also in their lives.

Making it even more meaningful, Jim’s son, Jeff, now our Headmaster, is the one interviewing his father and this truly legendary JRHS teacher.

We are deeply grateful for Jim’s years of faithful service and the lasting impact he made on generations of JRHS students. His legacy will continue to be felt for many years to come.

💪 Our final Summer Work Day at JRHS wrapped up this week with another productive few days on campus! Volunteers tackled a variety of projects, including sanding and priming the Sentinel, refreshing the porch ceiling and railings, and renovating baseboards throughout the school, weathercoating the side porch.

A special thank-you to Dan Burgher, Jeff Philbrick, and Susan Sicard for leading the work days, and all of the volunteers who gave their time, energy, and skills to help prepare our campus for the new school year. We are grateful for the many hands that have helped make JRHS ready to welcome our students back! 🙏

It is with deep sadness and heartfelt gratitude that we remember Jim Philbrick, whose faithful service helped shape Jesse Re*****on High School from its earliest years. Jim supported Jeff and other school leaders as they worked to establish JRHS and, together with his wife, Diane, faithfully supported the school financially beginning in the early 1990s.

After retiring from a successful engineering career, Jim taught Chemistry and Physics at JRHS for 11 years, from 2000 to 2011. Throughout the decades, he generously shared his gifts, talents, time, and resources through countless maintenance and renovation projects. Jim’s lasting impact can be seen not only throughout our campus, but also in the many students, families, and staff members whose lives were touched by his wisdom, generosity, and faithful example.

We are deeply grateful for Jim’s extraordinary legacy of service and invite our JRHS community to join us in praying for Diane and the entire Philbrick family.
