I like moving kids into "real" music quickly so they get hooked faster and can see their results. I am 20 years old and have been teaching piano since I was 15 and I've taught the range of students - one who was autistic (BTW, many of my students are on the spectrum) and didn't even touch the piano until the very last day of summer lessons to a beautiful 80 year old woman who decided it was finall
y time to cross piano off her bucket list. I've taken piano lessons most of my life with several different teachers but having ADD, I found the 2 teachers that taught me how to write music made the most impact on me and help transform music into a love. I play piano, ukulele, guitar - acoustic and electric, bass and dabble with other instruments, like violin and dulcimer. Besides music, I've been a FT volunteer, called a pioneer, since 2019. I have twin brothers 3 years younger than me and we live in beautiful Oregon.
