Re: Immediate Closure

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with deep regret that we are writing to inform you of an IMMEDIATE CLOSURE of Celebration Children's Center of Canastota.

Due to severe and ongoing financial hardship- including the loss of a significant number of DS- Enrolled children and the resulting reduction in operating revenue the Board of Directors has unfortunately made the decision to immediately close the daycare effective today January 1 2026. We understand the impact this news may have on your family and do not expeft you to take this lightly. We are coordinating with OCFS and local DSS to ensure families receive appropriate guidance and refferals where possible.

Additional information reguarding the pickup of children's belongings and access to records will be provided ASAP.

In reguard to the upcoming Purse Bingo,

Please discard any remaining unsold tickets and return any funds received for sold tickets. This event will no longer be taking place.

Daycare Closure – Wednesday, 12/31/25 (Winter Storm Warning)

Dear Families,
Due to the Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service for our area, our daycare center will be CLOSED on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
The warning calls for heavy snowfall, strong wind gusts, and dangerous travel conditions, including potential whiteout conditions during the morning hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; the safety of our children, staff, and families is always our top priority.
Please continue to monitor local weather updates, and we will keep you informed if there are any additional changes.

Due to Madison County issuing a No Unnecessary Travel Advisory ahead of the winter storm, Celebration Children’s Center will operate on a 2-hour delay today.

🕣 We will open at 8:30 AM to allow extra time for road conditions to improve. The safety of our children, families, and staff is always our top priority.

🚗 Please drive carefully and safely during your travels, and continue to monitor local weather updates. Thank you for your understanding—stay warm and safe!

📢 Now Accepting Applications: Board of Supervisors

Celebration Children’s Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit daycare, is seeking individuals to serve on our Board of Supervisors. Currently looking for candidates with experience or interest in nonprofit governance, early childhood education, finance, fundraising, or community leadership. Experience not required, everyone is welcome to apply!

Board members play a key role in advancing our mission and ensuring strong organizational oversight. We currently have 2 vacancies we would like to fill.

PARENTS: Please do not let your children build snow forts or otherwise play in and around large snowbanks near village streets. The village DPW is concerned about children potentially being hit by a plow truck, especially if the driver can't see the child. Thank you!
