Open House Tonight!

Good Afternoon -

Please enter through the side door or through the large gym foyer doors starting at 6pm (there are the small sandwich boards directing towards the doors).

Some location information for this evening:
Chili tasting and voting will take place in the cafeteria tonight.
The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and ServU will also be in the cafeteria.

The 8th and 11th grade classes will be holding class sales in the Main Foyer.

Tri-County YMCA will be in the elementary intersection with sign ups for the Afterschool program.

In the cafeteria hallway will be Catholic Charities and an office from Allegany County.

The Book Fair will be in the library.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this evening.

Owner Nicole Foster is a new partner with GST BOCES and is looking forward to working with our Culinary Arts students throughout the school year.

Our Open House will be Wednesday, October 7th from 6-7pm. We look forward to seeing you. There will be representatives from the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Catholic Charities, and Tri-County YMCA (Afterschool program). There will also be a Book Fair taking place in the library.

New this year, Teacher Chili Cook-Off, our very own teachers competing against each other for the coveted title, Top Chili Chef. Come sample and cast your vote. There will be one winner for the elementary and one for the high school.

As you may have heard earlier in the week, the New York State Education Department released a memo regarding the NYS Regents and the upcoming changes associated with them. Dear Canaseraga Families and Community Members-

It is my pleasure to be working with you as your new Interim Superintendent of Schools. I have been learning so many wonderful things about the District and community over the past few weeks.
For a bit of background, I have held a variety of superintendent and principal positions locally, including the Arkport, Dansville, Wayland-Cohocton and Corning- Painted Post school districts, along with GST BOCES.
In 2021, I retired from the Orchard Park Central School District after 11 years as Superintendent of Schools. In all of those districts, I have taken pride in focusing on buildings and districts as communities and families. When there is a strong school/family partnership, it truly benefits all. The beginning days of the school year are very exciting, with all of the events and activities within the District. I look forward to meeting our families and community members as the Fall season unfolds.
