The CWHS Madrigal Dinner FaceBook page will be taken down soon. The Canal Wi******er Schools has appointed Brady Brennan as the new HS Drama Department Director and coordinator of Drama Activities. Mr. Brennan will be using his own resources to promote the Department. We thank you for all of your support over the years and hope that you'll continue to support all the work the CWHS Students will do in the future.

Next up for the Wi******er Steel Company - The Central Ohio Pan Fest.

This type of concert is a first for Central Ohio. Join the Steel Co., our Adult Band, the Granville HS and Granville Community Bands along with our newest area Steel Band, the Pickerington HS North, Steel PANthers.

Each band will present their own segment of music and then combine for our Mass Band Finale.

Dr. Chris Tanner, director of the Miami U Steel program will be our special guest clinician and featured soloist with the Mass Band.

Altogether, there will be about 150 Pan players in one place. The concert is 6pm, Saturday, April 15 at Granville HS, 210 New Burgh Street, Granville OH

Every three years, portions of the Canal Wi******er Performing Arts Department combine to present our Music In Our Schools Concert. March is designated as Music In Our Schools Month. Our last scheduled concert of this type was cancelled due to the Shutdown. Now that things are mostly back to normal, we're re-establishing our tradition. Our 2023 Music In Our Schools Concert will be on Thursday, March 16 in the Oley Speaks Auditorium at 7pm.

Over 150 students from the Handbell Ensemble, Symphonic Choir, Women's Chorale, 8th Grade Choir and Wind Ensemble Band will join forces for this one event.

We encourage you to join us at this special concert. After each High School group presents a segment, we'll combine all the groups for our big finale!

The Canal Wi******er Performing Arts Department is excited to announce seats are now on sale for our 34th Annual Madrigal Dinner. This year's show will be William Shakespeare's 'Two Gentlemen of Verona'. The performances will be on Saturday, Feb 18 at 7pm and Sunday, Feb 19 at 2pm. Each show takes place in the CWHS Cafetorium.

Two Gentlemen is one of Shakespeare's earliest plays and is known for it's wit and charm as love is tested and found wanting between the four would-be lovers. This play examines the true nature of what it means to be in love.

More than 80 High School students are involved in the production. Seats are $18 and include the play, music, dancing and a 5-course catered meal.

We are the only School District in Central Ohio to present this style of Theatre. I do hope you'll join us for this unique evening's entertainment.
