Canadian was represented well at the TCFA Feedyard Technician Program. Yessi, Allan, Josue, Bridger, Ben and Trevor each received their certifications for skidsteer and loader operation, welding, cutting, heat bending and Lock-out Tag-out. They all passed their written exams and even went through a job interview process! They are now ready for the next steps in their journey of life.

When you think of a Professional Development day a teacher normally thinks "this meeting could have been an email" please let us go work in our rooms. Today was not that day! Our chapter officers hosted a Teacher CDE contest for all of Canadian High School. There were good conversations, lots of questions, laughs and the brisket and beans were top notch! We cannot wait until next year's contest!

We all love steak; I love it so much that I will be serving as a Texas Beef Ambassador this year! My name is Trevor Powell, I’m a senior at Canadian High School, I am serving a term as an Area 1 FFA officer for the Top O’ Texas District. I do not come from an agricultural background; however, I do hope to become a first-generation cow-calf producer. In the meantime however, I work as a feedlot technician at the Canadian Feed Yard, as well as help local ranches when I can. I’m so excited to serve this year!

We're launching a Canadian FFA Alumni & Supporters Chapter — and we want YOU involved!

Whether you're a former FFA member, ag booster, industry partner, or just someone who believes in what agricultural education does for our kids, this chapter is for you. Alumni chapters help:

✅ Support FFA activities and ag ed at the local level
✅ Connect former members back to the program
✅ Bring extra hands, talent, and resources to our students
✅ Advocate for agricultural education in our community
