A message from wrestling mom, Kendra Butterfield. Please reach out to her with questions or if you can help!

Dear Wrestling Families,

I'm excited to share that our wrestling program has been selected as the recipient of the proceeds from the Co****le Tournament at Canaan Old Home Days on August 1st.

In order to receive these funds, we need our wrestlers to volunteer during the tournament (starting at noon) The kids will help sell bake sale items, bottled water, and other concessions throughout the event. In addition to receiving the tournament proceeds, our program will also keep all profits from the items we sell, making this a great fundraising opportunity for our team.

This is a wonderful way for our wrestlers to give back to the community, represent our program, and help raise money that directly benefits the team.

I will be creating and sharing a SignUpGenius soon for volunteers as well as donations of baked goods, drinks, and other items to sell during the tournament.

Thank you for your support. We hope to see many of our wrestlers and families involved in making this event a success!

Unfortunately both boys went 0-2 at MOC's. But before we let either of them feel defeated, it should be known that even making it to MOC's is an accomplishment.

For those that don't understand how it works, in NH, they have state championships that are split up by division. Then, the top athletes in each division move on to MOC (aka Meet of Champions) to compete. So you are now wrestling with the best in the entire state. D3 is up against D2 and D1 athletes.

While Mascoma has had a handful of athletes make it to MOC, no one has yet to win there, including any of our state champions. It's tough!!!! I'm sure if you ask any of the boys who have wrestled in it, they will tell you it's some of the hardest matches they've battled. Regardless of where any of them finished, they have the honor to say they made it that far.

With that said, a huge congratulations to both Kayden and Jaxon for making it to MOC this year. You both have made the wrestling community proud. Hold your heads high and be as proud of yourselves as your family, teammates and community are.
