What an incredible evening at the Fond du Lac County Fair! This year, 19 participants were paired with 28 amazing mentors for our annual Special Final Drive Show. We were also excited to expand the event by adding sheep and goats alongside our cattle classes!

Participants spent the evening learning about their animals, helping groom and prepare them for the show, enjoying dinner and the midway with their mentors, and then stepping into the spotlight for the big show in the Cow Palace. It was an evening filled with learning, confidence-building, new friendships, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to our mentors, volunteers, families, exhibitors, and generous sponsors for making this event possible. Your support helps create an experience that allows every participant to enjoy the excitement of showing livestock at the Fond du Lac County Fair.

Last week, Campbellsport FFA members traveled to Madison for the Wisconsin FFA State Convention. Throughout the week, members attended general sessions where they learned about the many opportunities available through FFA and celebrated the accomplishments of members from across the state.

Members also participated in leadership workshops, explored the convention expo, and connected with colleges, universities, and agricultural businesses to learn more about future career and educational opportunities.

One of the highlights of the convention was hearing from keynote speaker Temple Grandin. Her message reminded members that success comes from embracing different ways of thinking and that “we need all kinds of minds” in today’s workforce. Her inspiring story encouraged students to value their unique strengths and the important role they can play in agriculture and beyond.

The Wisconsin FFA State Convention was an unforgettable experience filled with leadership, learning, inspiration, and memories that will last a lifetime.

The Campbellsport FFA chapter is proud to recognize three members who shared their musical talents at the Wisconsin FFA State Convention. Jon Thelen was selected to perform with the State FFA Chorus, while Tryston Kober performed on the cello and Raeann Lueck performed with the clarinet in the State FFA Band.

Together, these students helped set the tone for convention by performing before three of the six general sessions, bringing energy and excitement to thousands of FFA members from across Wisconsin. Their dedication to both music and FFA is a wonderful example of the many talents our members possess.

Congratulations, Jon, Tryston, and Raeann, on representing Campbellsport FFA with pride and excellence at the state level.
