Our CSCS Alumni Spotlight for September proudly honors Kristopher Dempster!

A distinguished 1994 CSCS graduate, Kris honorably served our country in the United States Air Force, including a overseas tour of duty. Following his military service, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Campbell University in North Carolina and later went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Library Science.

Over the years, Kris has made a tremendous impact in education and public service—teaching high school math, coaching soccer, and even driving a school bus! He ultimately found his true passion as a librarian and is celebrating a remarkable 20-year milestone with the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, South Carolina.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kris possesses a deep passion for local history and has dedicated much of his time to researching the heritage of our own community.

Homecoming is coming up, and there are lots of ways for students and families to get involved! This year, we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday while showing our Panther Pride and making Homecoming a week our students will remember.

Student-Designed Homecoming Apparel:
Our Homecoming apparel was designed by one of our own students! Orders are due THIS FRIDAY, September 11th for apparel to arrive in time for Homecoming Week. Scan the QR code on the flyer to place your order.

Patriotic Color Run & Carnival:
Join us Monday, September 28th at 6:00 PM for a Color Fun Run/Walk and Carnival! This event is open to students and families from ALL grade levels. We’ll have food, games, activities, prizes, school spirit, and plenty of colorful fun.

Please register early using the QR code on the flyer. Early registration helps us plan ahead and make sure we have enough materials and supplies for everyone who wants to participate. Volunteers are also welcome! Students/ Parents who would like to help with games, activities, or the event are encouraged to get involved.

Student Council & Class Council:
Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 16th from 12:46–2:14 PM in Room 1011 as we begin planning the Pep Assembly and Homecoming. Students can join Student Council at any time—your ideas matter, and your talents are needed! See Ms. Thomas or Ms. Nichols to be added to the list to attend.

Don’t forget the Homecoming Dance on Friday, October 2nd and the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:30 AM.

Help us make Homecoming something created with students, for students, and for our entire Panther community.
