Nisiotika Paidia Dance Group Practice Schedule for this week is as follows:

Tues Aug 3rd: Group 4 (High School) 5:30-7:00
Weds Aug 4th: Group 2 (Grades 3-5) 4:00-5:00
Weds Aug 4th: Group 3 (Grades 6-8) 5:00

Group 4 of the Nisiotika Pedia Dance Group will not be practicing today. We will meet on July 20th at 5:30 for dance practice.

Group 4 of the Nisiotika Pedia dance group will be having dance practice July 13th at AMC hall from 5:30-7:00 pm. All dancers in Grades 9-12 are welcome to join. Please remember that those dancers who are going to be in the 9th grade this Fall will move up to Group 4 after the Summer Festival. This means that our graduated seniors can still perform with the group at our summer fest!

We look forward to seeing everyone at practice!

Anyone interested in teaching/assisting any ages of the Nisiotika Pedia Dance groups please contact me!

All groups are looking for help and we also need an instructor for High School age group.

Please share this on your pages for anyone that may be interested! We have Festivals, Greek Independence Day, and many other performances coming up. Lets all do out part to help continue our traditions!

Another great performance by the Nisiotika Pedia in Aliquippa, at their OPA! Event! We'd like to thank the ladies and gentlemen from Koimosis Tis Theotokou GOC for the opportunity and never-ending hospitality!!

The Aliquippa Dormition of the Theotokos Church is hosting a celebration of Greek music and dance on Saturday, September 29 at the Lincoln Park School for Performing Arts in Midland, PA.

The evening begins at 4pm with a Greek chicken dinner, buffet style. From there, we will all move on to the beautiful new Theatre at Lincoln Park.

Once we are all settled, the Aliquippa Opa Dancers will present the short program they ahve been working on all year long including song, dance, and bouzoukia! Their guests will be THE NISIOTIKA PEDIA FROM ARCHANGEL MICHAEL GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH IN CAMPBELL, OHIO.

Next will be 2 45 minute sets of Greek music straight from NY featuring Nikos Koutras and his band, with Anthi Aggelou. Also appearing with the band will be Vasilis Patrikis on violin and Kostas Triantafillou on Clarinet. Afterwards, of course, we will dance!

Last year's event was an enormous success. This year, we strongly suggest that you get your tickets early before the sell out!

We, the Nisiotika Pedia Greek Folk Dance Group, are dedicated to perpetuating our Greek culture and traditions in a time when, sadly, we see so many cultures fading away.

We do so by doing our best to teach generation after generation the dances, music, and history of our beautiful country and islands which have been passed down to us from our ancestors. We then share these with the public through performances at Festivals, Cultural Events, Dinners, Nursing Homes, etc.
