Game season is officially underway! 🐾🧡💙

Our Tigers kicked things off this week with a Boys Flag Football win at home on Tuesday, followed by our first Girls Softball game! We’re excited to cheer on our teams as they compete, grow, and represent SJCS with faith, heart, and Tiger pride.

This week has been filled with first-day smiles, new connections, and the excitement of a new school year! 🐾 🧡💙

On Wednesday, we gathered as a school community for one of our favorite SJCS traditions: our First Day Welcome Assembly. We worshiped and prayed over our school and students. Ms. Baham also reminded us that, as Messengers, we have good news to share and are called to bring it to those around us, reflecting this year’s theme verse from Romans 10:15: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

We’re grateful to from Central Christian Church for returning to lead us in worship alongside our very own Ms. Loewen. And thank you to the families who joined us and helped make this such a meaningful start to the school year!

✨ This week our staff was back on campus for a week of fellowship, preparation, and training as we get ready for a new school year!

📚 We’re grateful for the time to learn and grow together, prepare our classrooms, and be equipped for the year ahead. A special thank you to Lifework Education for helping us kick off our week with CPR, AED, and First Aid training.

🙏 We’re grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our students and families, reflecting Christ in the way we teach, lead, and care for them. We’re excited to see how God will move through our community this year!

It's Friday eve and that means tomorrow is another Field Trip Friday! Tiger Camp is having an absolute blast this summer.

🦋 During week 1, campers went to Gilroy Gardens where they explored the Monarch Garden, citrus trees, and grew in confidence on the amusement park rides.

🍎 Then in week 2, they spent part of the day at Martinelli's and part at Gizdich Ranch. It was a very fun end to "Western Week" with tasty apple juice and the chance to see some real-life farming.

🎉 There's an end-of-year celebration happening on the SJCS blog! Read the latest post re-capping student academic and spiritual growth in the 2025-26 school year.

Our program is designed to build an academic and spiritual foundation for a lifetime of loving and serving God. We celebrate this learning and growth because we do not take it for granted. Learning does not just happen.

Growth happens through hard work every day, every month, in one school year, and from preschool through 8th grade. We are at work and God is at work in and through us. Thank you to our families for partnering with us in this good work!

🎈 Have you tried to re-create field day in your backyard yet? Going back through the photos, we still can't get over how fun this day was!

We may be missing the extra smiles on campus, but not for long! Tiger Camp starts here on Monday. There will be a lot of fun in the sun, water games, relays, team-building, and more! It's almost like a field day every week.

These students are prepared to be lifelong learners and world-changers for Jesus Christ. We are going to miss them, but we know that they are headed to high school with a strong academic, spiritual, and social foundation.

Field Day 2026 🙌 📣

WHAT. FUN. This year brought back old favorites as well as several new games. All K-8 students participated on teams with their buddies racing, tossing, hopping, and shuffling in relay challenges. Our favorite part always is hearing these kids cheer each other on. These kids are encouraging and full of joy.

Special thanks to our Athletic Director and the team of staff who planned this year's field day. Thank you also to all our alumni and parent volunteers who came out to help run games, be timers, and make sure everyone got where they needed to be.
