📣Important Announcement From Caitlin:

I am delighted to announce that in the fall of 2023, I will be transitioning to an innovative Academic Parent Coaching role. In collaboration with Melissa Mayes, Executive Director, and Lindsay Smith, CEO & Founder of the Teen Therapy Center of Silicon Valley, we are co-creating a new and exciting position to capitalize on my 30 years of experience in education and coaching teens and families.

As the first ever Academic Parent Coach on the Teen Therapy Center team, I have a unique opportunity to expand the parent coaching services that were consistently a strong foundation of Academic Coaching Works to the extensive network of families at Teen Therapy Center and beyond.

In light of this shift, I am closing the Academic Coaching Works Center in June at the end of this school year. This is a decision I did not take lightly. The Center, located in Downtown Campbell, has supported teens, college students, and their families for the past 15 years. I am beyond proud of this accomplishment.

A gift that comes from this transition is that I will work remotely for Teen Therapy Center from my home in Maine. My beloved partner Chase and my two dogs Lucy and Luke can’t wait to have me home with them. Of course, I will travel to Silicon Valley often to stay connected with family, friends and my professional community.

Parents are often surprised and shocked to witness their teen undergo a transformation once they receive coaching with Academic Coaching Works. Recently, a parent shared, "I never thought it was possible! My child is going to college! If you would have asked me last year I would have said no way. Now I am dropping my kid off at college and they are ready to spread their wings!" We LOVE this feedback, and it reflects the mission of our company... Academic Coaching WORKS!!! Not only is this teen a college student, BUT they contacted their college to see what services or accommodations might be available. Incredible! Yes, ACW focuses on academic success, AND we also help our clients develop resilience, independence, and skills to be their own best advocate.
